Haymond's Cemetery - Campo Santo
I wish to express my appreciation to the Big Bend Genealogical Society and to the Alpine Public Libray and to Verna Bonner, Director, for their work on recording this cemetery and for letting me post it here. They are to be commended for their hard work. God Bless you all.
Campo Santo has been under the care of the late Felicita Morena de Ortega and member of the Pierson family. Only one permanent marker, a concrete cross fashioned by Haymond Pierson, was ever placed there. It was made to commemorate Felicita Morena de Ortage, who is buried at the Marathom Catholic Cemetery. Campo Santo was never consecrated, and services by priest were never conducted there.

Interments date from 1894 to 1904. At the present time, 1971, plans are being made to obtain a Texas Historical Marker. Jacobina Pierson Miller serves as the current caretaker of the cemetery. The cemetery is located on the hill by the windmill.
