Thursday, June 2, 1960 Mrs. Anna Zander Heart Attack Victim May 25
Mrs. Richard Zander, 74, the former Miss Anna Heel, died at the
home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hoff of
New Ulm, at 9 pm, Wednesday, May 25. She had suffered a heart
attack one month earlier.
The Rev. A.J. Mohr officiated at funeral rites held at Pete E.
Etlinger
Funeral Chapel in Bellville at 2 pm Friday, May 27. Interment was at Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery with William Schomberg, Alfred Mikeska, James Graunder, Herman Zander, Isador Zander and Harry Zander serving as pallbearers.
A daughter of the late John and Louise Langberg Heel, Mrs.
Zander was born in Washington, Co. December 1, 1885. The former
Miss Anna Heel, she attended Ives Creek School and was baptized
at Salem Lutheran Church near Brenham, January 1, 1886, by Rev.
F. Jesse, and confirmed April 15, 1905 by Rev. P. Gogolin at
Bellville.
Mrs. Zander was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Bellville, and of the Ladies Aid Society. In August 1958 she moved from her farm home to Bellville.
She was married October 25, 1905, in Bellville, her husband
preceding her in death February 2, 1919.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Hoff of New Ulm; one son,
Herbert Zander of Bellville; four sisters, Mrs. Minnie Dahse of
Waller, Mrs. Annie Erks of York, ,Nebraska, Mrs. Tillie Brugger
of Bellville, and Mrs. George Bartay of Longview; two brothers
Henry Heel of Tomball and Herman Zander of Bellville, and 2
grandchildren,
