Richard Zander, aged 36 years and 26 days, died at his home on
Ives' Creek, on Saturday, February 2, at 2:20 pm.
Mr. Zander was sick only about ten days with influenza and pneumonia. All during the recent illness of his brother, Geo. Zander, Jr., who died on January 23, Richard Zander stood by his brother most faithfully and had little thought of his own earthly state was so close at hand.
Richard Zander was another of the community's citizens who was
making progress by his energy and good management. He was a
good citizen in every sense of the word and had respect for his
fellow man.
He is survived by his widow and two little children, his parents and two brothers and three sisters.
Interment took place at Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery Monday
afternoon, the Rev. Krause of the Lutheran Church, conducting
the service.
