Funeral services for Margaret Richter were held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday
April 18, 2003 at the Welcome Lutheran Church with the Rev. Milton Maly
officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dwayne Burger, Garth Griffith, Tom Ochsner, Billy
Denny, Todd Dierking, Ryan Roeske, Steven Richter and Bobby Reichle.
Honorary pallbearers were nephews, nieces, co-workers at Valmont, and
members of the Austin County Sheriffs department.
Margaret Ann Richter, 60, died Tuesday, April 15, 2003, at her
residence
near Industry, Texas. She was born on August 24, 1942 in Industry to
Marvin (M.H.) and Esther Wensel Dierking. On October 25, 1 942 she was baptized
at Salem Lutheran Church of Welcome by Rev. I.M. Mansur and confirmed on
March 25, 1956 by Rev. Walter Wolf. She continued to be a very faithful and
active member of her church, the Women of the ELCA and Naomi Circle. She was a
member of the Industry Firemenšs Auxiliary.
Margaret attended Welcome Elementary School and graduated from
Bellville High School and Blinn College. She was employed by Valmont - ALS.
On October 9, 1965 Margaret and Thomas Richter were united in marriage
at the Salem Lutheran Church of Welcome by Rev. Walter Wolf.
Survivors include husband Thomas Richter of Industry; father M.H.
Dierking of Bleiblerville; daughter Ronda and Kevin Hutcherson,
grandchildren Trevor and Morgan of Magnolia, TX; brother Daniel Dierking
and wife Marilyn of Bleiblerville; sisters Erline Ferguson and husband Tom of
Angleton; and Dorothy Dierking of Brenham; brother-in-law Rodney Roeske of
Brenham; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law John and Janis Richter of
Austin and Robert and Sharon Richter of Friendswood. She is also survived by
aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Margaret was preceded in death by her mother Esther, Sister Faye
Roeske, mother and father-in-law Alfred and Ruth Richter, and brother-in-law
William
Richter.
The family received friends and family during visitation on Thursday
April 17, 2003 from 6-8:00p.m. at Brenham Memorial Chapel.
Memorials may be given to the Welcome Lutheran Church Scholarship
fund,
Hospice Brazos Valley or the charity of your choice.
Funeral Arrangements were in the care of Brenham Memorial Chapel 2300
