Funeral services for Martha Belunek, 90, of Frydek were held Thursday, July 8, 2004 at 10 a.m. from St. Mary's Catholic Church in Frydek with the Rev. Bernard Snock celebrating the funeral mass and rite of committal. Interment was in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Frydek. Serving as pallbearers were Joe Watson, Ronnie Watson, Ryan Beavers, Gary Lastovica, John T. Lastovica and Geroge Zboril. Honorary pallbearers were Allen Stroud and Reese Watson. Born in Frydek, Martha was the daughter of Henry and Alfonsa Pyka Wysocki. Martha was raised in Frydek and attended Frydek schools. On April 8, 1929 the former Miss Martha Wysocki was joined in marriage to Mr. Charles Belunek with a ceremony held in Galveston. She was a lifelong homemaker. She was a member of K.J.Z.T. and Alter Society at St. Mary's Catholic Church. She enjoyed baking kolaches for church bazaars, gardening, flowers, sewing and crocheting. She was known to cook the best Fried Chicken and homemade pies. Later in her life she enjoyed drinking coffee at Bill's Grocery Store and greeting the people she knew. Martha Belunek died July 5, 2004 in Sealy. Martha is survived by her daughters, Frances Lastovica and husband John of Frydek and Lillie Stroud of Frydek; sisters, Mary Mieth of Sealy and Albina Sanchez of Sealy; grandchildren, Maggie Lastovica, Gary Lastovica and wife Rhonda, Kim Watson and husband Joey, Pam Beavers and husband Ryan; five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by parents Henry and Alfonsa Wysocki; husband, Charles Belunek; sisters, Sophie Gregurek, Frances Zboril and Bertha Gajewski; brothers, Joe, Charlie, Steve and Frank Wysocki; and grandson, Allan Stroud.
