Thomas Russell Darby was born on December 11, 1968 in Fayette, Alabama, the
son of Roland and Kathryn (Roberts) Darby. He was raised in Cat Spring,
Texas and attended school in Sealy, Texas.
Thomas joined the United States Army and served in Germany as an Army Medic.
He lived in Austin, Texas and worked as a waiter and was an accomplished
musician and song-writer.
He passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2005 in an Austin hospital at the
age of 36. Thomas is survived by his parents: Roland B. Darby of Bellville
and Kathryn Darby of Santa Fe, New Mexico; Brother: Ash Bernard Darby of
Austin, Texas; and SISTER: Theresa Darby of San Marcos, Texas.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, February 27, 2005 at 3 p.m. at the
Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel in Bellville, Texas with Reverend Wayne
Middleton officiating. Internment followed in the Cat Spring Cemetery in Cat
Spring, Texas. Pallbearers were: Bill Spears, Joel Honninger, David Roberts
and Brian Hueni.
In lieu of usual remembrances, friends who wish to make memorial gifts to
the charity of their choice.
