Diestel

Funeral services for Edna Diestel, 97, of Sealy were held September 30th at
Trinity Lutheran Church in Sealy with the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating.
Interment was in Sealy Cemetery in Sealy. Serving as pallbearers were
Darrell, David, Scott, Daniel, Travis, and Arthur Diestel.
Edna was born the daughter of Paul and Bertha (Peterson) Franke in LaGrange.
She was raised in Sealy and attended Sealy Schools. Edna was joined in
marriage to Arthur Diestel in Bellville. She was a lifelong homemaker.
She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, the Hermann and Sons Lodge,
and Sealy AARP. Edna enjoyed singing, playing the piano and organ, cards and
dominoes, and bowling. Edna Diestel passed away Tuesday, September 27 in
Sealy.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law Gloria Diestel, grandsons Darrell
Diestel and friend Bridget Foley, Scott Diestel, and David Diestel,
grandchildren Stacey, Danie and wife Samantha, Travis, Dylan, Nichole, and
Arthur Diestel, and great-great grandchild Michael Stuart.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Bertha Franke, husband
Arthur Diestel, son Arthur Lee Diestel and grandson Derrick Diestel.
Arrangements under the direction of Knesek Family Funeral Chapel.
