Richardson Lt. Col. Thomas O. Richardson, U.S. Army Ret., born November 24, 1922, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 29 at the age of 82. Mr. Richardson was born in Floresville, Texas, and had lived in San Antonio since 1970. He was a member of the graduating class of 1945 at Texas A&M University, he retired from the US Army as an Infantry Airborne Officer after 26 years of service. He later retired from the Texas Employment Commission with over 20 years of employment. He enjoyed many years as a flight instructor and skydiver and spent a great deal of time ranching in the San Antonio area. Survivors include: his loving wife of 57 years Catherine Richardson of San Antonio; son, John E. Richardson and wife Susan of Bellville; sister Carol Major; brother, William Richardson; grandsons Monte D. Richardson and wife Allison; Wade S. Richardson; and Justin A. Richardson; great-granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Richardson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation was held June 5th at Mission Park Funeral Chapel South. Services were conducted Monday, June 6, in the Main Post Chapel of Ft. Sam Houston with Chaplain Will Bearden Officiating. Interment with full military honors followed in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Texas Children's Hospital, Neo Natal Unit, Houston. Posted by Joy Neely
