Cates

Juanita Reed Cates, was born on Feb. 17, 1936, in Warren, Ark., the daughter of Arthur and Linnie Glover Reed. She grew up and attended school in Warren, Juanita received her G.E.D. in 1995 at the age of 55. After accomplishing that important milestone in her life, she went on to receive her certificate from the Texas Department of Human Services as a nurses’ aide, in 1996.

Juanita loved being with her family and friends and her pride and joy was cooking and baking for family gatherings. She also enjoyed fishing, gardening, and quilting.

Juanita passed away Monday, April 27, 2009, at the age of 74. She is survived by sisters/brothers: Betty A. Wheelington, Larry C. Reed, Sue Barner, Mary Florek, Linda L. Pace, and Fred Reed of Arkansas. Her children: Melinda Lea Vincik, Michael Allen Cronin, and Mark Douglas Cronin; grandchildren: Aimiee Mills, Natashia Cronin, Tonia Britz, Brandon Vincik and Keri Vincik. She is also survived by her 7 great grandchildren. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents.
