Machala
Funeral Services for Mollye Machala, 89, were held Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009 at 10 a.m. from
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sealy with the Rev. Eric Pitre celebrating the Funeral Mass and Rite of Committal.
Entombment was in the Haven of Rest Mausoleum at the Sealy Cemetery.
Serving as Pallbearers were Scott, Roger and Chuck Slanina, Tony Sulewski, and Jeremy and Kyle
Pierce.
Mrs. Machala passed away Aug. 16, 2009 in Sealy.
Mollye Marie Vancik was born in Sealy to parents Joe and Mary Esterak Vancik.
Mollye was raised in Sealy and attended public school there.
She married Frank L. Machala on Oct. 26, 1927 in Sealy.
Mollye was a homemaker and had worked as a waitress in the restaurant business, she loved to make
kolatches, watch the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Astros and Sealy Tigers.
Mollye was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sealy and a charter member of the
Sealy Catholic Daughters.
Survivors include, daughters, Sylvia Slanina and husband Charles of Stafford, Marilyn Machala of
Arizona, sons, Henry Machala and wife Valerie of Stafford and Arthur Machala and wife Brenda of Alief, grandchildren, Lisa Pierce, Chuck and Kristin Slanina,
Scott and Roger Machala and K.K. Sulewski and Tony, great grandchildren, Cheryl, Jeremy and Kyle Pierce and Kyndall Sulewski.
Preceded in death by parents, Joe and Mary Vancik, husband, Frank C. Machala, infant sister,
sister, Henrietta Oldham, brothers, Henry, Eddie, Charlie and Joe Vancik
Memorials may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley , 302 E. Blue Bell , Brenham, 77833. Funeral services were held under the direction of Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel in Sealy. Posted by Joy Neely
