Mrs. Ruth Schultz, 86, of New Ulm passed away peacefully with her family by her side in the
early morning hours of Thursday, February 26th, 2009.
Ruth Mae was born in New Ulm, on Oct. 14, 1922, the daughter of the late Hugo and Louise (Krause)
Frnka.
She was baptized and confirmed in St. Johns Lutheran Church in New Ulm. She graduated from Columbus
High School and attended Massey Business College and the University of Houston.
Ruth married Robert Schultz on June 15, 1946 in Brenham, Texas at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran
Church. She and Robert experienced the joys and challenges of city and rural life, as they worked side by side in their businesses, they also traveled
extensively.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, son Jack, parents, sister Hughlene Duke, brother
Lynn O. Frnka
She is survived by : Daughter Kathy Lynn Brown and husband David of New Ulm; Adopted Daughter
Claudette Turney and husband James of Houston; Grandchildren Janice Schultz, Robert Edwards, Randy Easterling; Great Grandchildren Jacqueline Marshall,
Amanda Schultz and Karissa Edwards She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral Services were held at St. Johns Lutheran Church, New Ulm, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 1,
with Pastor Milroy Gregor officiating. Interment followed in Frnka Cemetery New Ulm, TX.
Friends were invited to call Saturday noon - 8 p.m. with family present
from 5-8 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland- Zaskoda Chapel.
