Funeral services for Sam Hillboldt, 88, of Route 1, Cat Spring were held from the Chapel of
the Pete E. Etlinger Funeral Home in Sealy at 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, with
Rev. Raye Williams officiating. Interment was in the Sealy Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Charles Schroeder, Ernest Schroeder, Wilbert Leschper, James
Schroeder, Charles Brandes and Eugene Rudloff.
Mr. Hillboldt passed away in the Sealy Medical Center at 7:20 a.m. on Thursday,
July 21, 1977. He had been in failing health for the past four and one-half years.
Born in Millheim on November 24, 1888 he was the son of Mr. & Mrs. Henry Hillboldt.
He was reared in Millheim and attended the Millheim Public School. Mr. Hillboldt
was engaged in farming and ranching. He was a member of the Lutheran Faith. He
was a member of the Cat Spring Hermann Sons Lodge.
On March 4, 1915 he was married to the former Miss Hattie Braesicke in ceremonies performed in Cat Spring.
Survivors include: wife, Mrs. Hattie Hillboldt of Cat Spring; son, Lester Hillboldt of
Cat Spring; and sister, Mrs. Lillie Norman of Katy.

parents, two brothers and two infant sisters.
