Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Lee Loehr, 55 of Houston were held from the Chapel of the Pete E.
Etlinger Funeral Home in Bellville at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 15, with Pastor Hobart Meyer officiating.
Interment was in the Oak Knoll Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Arthur Goebel, John Grogg, Edwin Hillman, Norman Buchtien, Guss Riniker, Jr. and Dr. James Lamp.
Mrs. Loehr passed away in a Houston Hospital at 4:40 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 1979. She had
been in failing health since February 13, 1979.
Born in Bellville on August 7, 1923, she was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Charles and Ella Riniker.
She was reared in Bellville and graduated from Bellville High School in the class of 1941.
She was a member of the Lutheran Faith.
The former Miss Virginia Lee Riniker was married to Leon H. Loehr on February 24, 1946 in ceremonies performed in Houston.
Survivors include: husband, Leon H. Loehr of Houston, mother, Mrs. Ella Riniker of Bellville, daughter,
Miss Shirley J. Loehr of Houston; son, Russell K. Loehr of Houston; sisters, Mrs. Kermit (Rosalie)
Neumann of Houston and Mrs. William (Jayne) Hardy of Houston; brother, Charles A. Riniker of Sugar Land;
and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Riniker, who died August 19, 1978.
