Many Austin County veterans registered their discharge from military services at the Austin County Courthouse.   Others did not.  Following is a transcription of the  indexes, combined and alphabetized, of those registered.  . For copies of the actual discharge papers, contact the county clerk's office.   Book 8, however,  is not available to the public.   Our thanks to the employees at the Austin County Courthouse for their  assistance with this project.
