Seeking information on the birth parents and relatives of HERMAN JOHLE, who was born in Germany in October of 1870. His father's name is unknown, as well as his mother's maiden name. Being a child of a large family, HERMAN was sent to live with relatives in Texas after his father died. At the young age of eight or nine, his mother "MARY" sent him as a stowaway aboard a freighter, which left from Hamburg, Germany around 1879. Later in life, HERMAN provided the ship passenger fare, from Germany to America, for his mother to visit him on a yearly basis. Her last known visit was at the age of 92, around the year 1926. Any available information will be greatly appreciated.

The PIERCE's were among about twenty families that moved to Honey Creek to make it rich cutting Cedar for telephone poles because the price of poles had climbed to 20 cents each. Searching for any info on Doctor Will Lee LANGFORD who died in Hamilton abt May 22, 1963. He was born in Bandera, TX June 17, 1874. My grandfather married (#2) Branchie Burke ALDERMAN September 2, 1908. She was born in LaSalle county July 24, 1891 and died September 18, 1983 in Hamilton, TX. Both are buried side-by-side in the cemetery just outside of Hamilton. They had three children, one of which "Don-L" lived nearby and recently died in Texas. Any info welcome.
