3. Alexander Charles Garrett: On 23 February 1878 Alexander Garrett held the first Anglican Service in the Callahan County Area. In 1932 (the 100th anniversary of his birth) the Rev. Willis Gerhart of Abilene joined with the Masonic Bodies of Dallas to construct this memorial on the site of that service. This memorial stands in a pasture approximately one mile south of Dudley, Texas just off FM Highway 1178.





There is a historical marker at the highway and a stile to cross the fence and visit the memorial.
