Wayne Ray Moses 1/27/1940 -4/25/2007
Funeral services are scheduled for Wayne Moses, 67 of Tyler
for Sunday, April 29 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Autry Funeral Home. Mr. Moses
passed away on Wednesday in a Dallas Hospital. He was preceded in death by his
wife O'Gretta in 2006 and was retired from TXU Electric.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 28 from 6 to 8 PM at the
funeral home. Burial will be at Henry Cemetery.
Christene S. Walters 1/26/1928 -4/24/2007
Funeral services are scheduled for Christene Walters, 79 of
Jacksonville for Saturday, April 28 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Autry Funeral
Home with Visitation beginning at 11:00 AM Saturday Morning until service time
at 1:00 PM.

Andrew Jackson "Jack" Scritchfield 10/15/1921 -4/22/2007
Funeral services are scheduled for "Jack" Scritchfield, 85
of Jacksonville for Tuesday, April 24, at 2:00 PM in the Autry Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. David Hallum officiating. Burial will follow at Neches
Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 23 from 6 to 8 PM at the
funeral home.
Irby McKenzie Hilliard 7/15/1908 -4/21/2007
Irby McKenzie Hilliard was born in rural Van Zandt County
on July 15, 1908. Graduated from Grand Saline High School, and entered what was
then North Texas Teachers’ College with a teaching career in mind. That plan
changed when she met and married George M. Hilliard, Jr., who had interest in
the study of medicine which he completed in 1935. The family moved to
Jacksonville, Texas in 1945 after Dr. Hilliard had served four years military
duty.
Irby’s love of life and people was her most cherished asset. Her continued
interest in the medical profession was evident by her many years of work in the
Cherokee County Medical Auxiliary and her volunteer work at Nan Travis Memorial
Hospital, now East Texas Medical Center. Her family and her church were also an
integral part of her life.
Survivors include sons Dr. George Hilliard and wife Carmen, Longview, Texas,
James R. (Jim) Hilliard and wife Beth, and daughter, Sally Hilliard Shank of
Dallas. Grandchildren include Julie & John Webster, Atlanta, Georgia, Dr.
George Hilliard IV & wife Jill, Memphis, Tennessee, Amanda Hilliard, Ft. Worth,
Texas, Steve Shank & wife Monica, Dallas, Texas, Brooke & Mike Mercer, Victoria,
Texas, Dr. Stuart Hilliard & wife Amy, Portland, Oregon, Ree & Monte Lowery,
Seabrook, Texas, John Goldberg & wife Jennifer, Dallas, Texas, and thirteen
great grandchildren.
Irby wrote: To you, whom I have loved so much, fear not nor grieve at
my departure. Life has been a beautiful journey.
Viewing will be held Tuesday, April 24, from 6 to 8 pm, with services on
Wednesday, April 25, at 10:00 AM at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville, Dr.
Bruce Webb of Central Baptist Church, Jacksonville, Irby’s beloved pastor,
officiating.
Dewey Maurice Warren 8/18/1924 -4/16/2007
Funeral services for Dewey Maurice Warren, 82 of Craft are
scheduled for Thursday, April 19 at 10 AM at Autry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
Leon Ross & Rev. Lester Foreman officiating. Burial will follow at Rudd
Cemetery.

Graveside services are schedule for Sadie Darby, 92 of
Jacksonville for Tuesday, April 17 at 1:00 PM in Tyler at Cathedral in the
Pines Cemetery. Dr. Royce Riley will officiate the service.
The family will receive visitors on Monday evening, April 16 from 6 to 8 PM at

Josephine Martha Lang 8/29/1913 -4/14/2007
Funeral services for Jo Lang, 93 of Jacksonville are
scheduled for Tuesday, April 17 at 3:30 PM in the Chapel at Autry Funeral Home
with Rev. David Hallum officiating. Burial will be in Vinson Cemetery.

Lela Bernice Ray 3/2/1922 -4/10/2007

Glen Cogburn & Brent Duncan presiding. Burial will follow at Bullard
Cemetery.

Evelyn June Davis Warren 01/28/1930 -4/8/2007
Funeral services for Evelyn June Davis Warren, 77, of Jacksonville are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 11, 2007 in the Autry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leon Ross officiating. Burial will follow in Rudd Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, April 10, with family receiving friends from 6 PM to 8 PM.
Berryman Pete Pavletich 10/17/1917 -4/5/2007
“PETE”PAVLETICH died April 5, 2007 after a lengthy illness. Memorial services will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1000 S Jackson at 2PM Monday, April 9 with Father Rob Godwin presiding. Burial will follow in Still Waters Memorial Gardens.
Born October 17, 1917 in Alto, Texas, the 2nd son of four to P.J. and Annie Treadwell Pavletich, he grew up in New Salem and Jacksonville, graduating from JHS and attending Lon Morris College. On June 8, 1939 he married Virginia Ramelle Taylor and they had two children; Pam and Paul. He entered the U.S. Navy, January 1, 1945, ranking as a Seaman 1st Class, where he instructed pilots in simulated flights in the Link Trainer, and later was a flight instructor at the Naval Training School operated at the Municipal Airport.
Pete first worked for his father at the Pavletich Auto Supply. After his discharge from the Navy he opened GI Trade Schools. In 1951 he became partners in a lumber Company that was in operation for 27 years. In 1980 he started Pete Pavletich Company which is still in operation today.
He enjoyed his winters snow skiing and summers at the lake and his mornings at what he called “The Breakfast Club”, he was a 32nd degree Mason.
Pete loved people and if he didn’t know you, he would after 5 minutes of speaking of know someone who knew you.
Preceded in death by his daughter, Pam Esteve, granddaughter Devon Lin Burton and brothers; Jack Paul & Yacob Pavletich.
Survivors include; wife of 67 years, Ramelle Pavletich, Jacksonville, son & daughter-in-law, Paul & Beckie Pavletich, Jacksonville, grandchildren; Corey Pavletich, Austin, Gretchen Pavletich, Jacksonville & SuZan Young, Houston; three great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Brother & sister in-law: Philip & Carolyn Frances Pavletich, Jacksonville.
Honorary Pallbearers are Clay Carter, Hulon Brown, Max Treadwell, Tommy Dan Treadwell, Bill McCarter and Wayne Hammons.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to; Trinity Episcopal Church Priest
