Kate Herring Durrett 7/21/1908 -8/1/2007
Funeral services are scheduled for Kate Durrett,
99, of Jacksonville, for Saturday, August 3, 2007 at 10 AM in the Chapel
at Autry Funeral Home with Rev. Vernon Lee officiating, burial will
follow at Mt Comfort Cemetery, Maydelle.
The family will receive visitors and friends on Friday, August 3, 2007
from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
Pamela Meek 11/8/1965 -8/4/2007
Funeral services for Pam Meek, 41, of Rockwall are
scheduled for Tuesday, August 7 @ 2:00 PM in the chapel of Autry Funeral
Home with Dr. Stuart Baskin officiating. Burial will be Union Grove
Cemetery.
Family visitation will be in Rockwall at Rest Haven Funeral Home from 6
to 8 PM.

Willie Marie Edmundson 2/24/1936 -8/5/2007
Funeral services are scheduled for Willie
Edmundson, 71 of Jacksonville for Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at 10:00 AM
in the Chapel of Autry Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Hart Officiating,
burial will follow at Pierce's Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM at
the funeral home.
Gertie Bell Mullican 11/11/1908 -8/7/2007
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, August 11th, at 10 AM
for Gertie Bell Mullican, of Troup. Mrs. Mullican passed away on
Tuesday in a local nursing home.
Don Chandler will be officiating, graveside services will follow at
Providence Cemetery.
The family will receive friends and family on Friday, August 10th from 6
to 8 PM at the funral home.
Ruth Anice Brown 12/13/1917 -8/12/2007
Ruth Boyd Brown
Memorial services for Ruth Anice Boyd Brown, 89, of Tyler (formerly of
Nederland) will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. at
Atria Willow Park, Tyler.
Mrs. Brown was born on December 13, 1917 to the Rev. James Cleveland &
Isla Mae Splawn Boyd in Mercedes, Texas, and she passed away on August
12, 2007 at Hospice HomePlace in Tyler.
Ruth was a Teacher, graduating from Texas Women’s University. She taught
in several schools in southeast Texas, worked in the lab at Pure Oil
Refinery during WWII., she also worked for Meco Security in Nederland.
Ruth was also a homemaker, a volunteer in the Nederland
Independent School District and a Pink Lady at Mid-Jefferson County
Hospital. She was a long time member of Wesley United Methodist Church
in Nederland where she was a member of United Methodist Women, member of
the choir and an honorary member of the Administrative Board. Due to her
many hours of volunteer work and service to the community, June 19, 2005
was declared “Ruth Brown Day” by the City of Nederland.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice L. Brown.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law; Jim and Mary Brown of
Jacksonville, daughter and son-in-law, Mary Madelyn B. and Hector Medina
of Miami, Florida; 4 grandchildren & 1 great-grandchild. She is also
survived by two sisters, Isla Lucile Boyd of Tyler and Elizabeth Carr of
Centennial, Colorado, along with several nieces & nephews.
Gonzalo Rojas Hernandez 1/10/1951 -8/14/2007
Gonzalo Rojas Hernandez
Funeral services for Gonzalo Rojas Hernandez, 56, of Jacksonville will
be held on Friday, August 17, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Autry Funeral Home
Chapel with Juan Martinez officiating. Burial will be in Still Waters
Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Hernandez was born on January 10, 1951 to Alfredo Rojas Tamez and
Enriqueta Hernandez Cortez, in Monterrey, Mexico and he passed away on
August 14, 2007 in Jacksonville. He was a Chemical Analyst for FIQUSAS.A
and was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Mr. Hernandez was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife; Rosalinda Gonzalez De Rojas, sons Ricardo J.
and Miguel Rojas, Monterrey, Mexico; daughters, Adriana P. Rojas,
Monterrey, Mexico, Alejandra Rojas, Crossville, Alabama, and Nancy A.
Rojas, Monterrey, Mexico, four sisters; Ruth Gonzalez and Rosa Marines,
Jacksonville, Blanca Rodriquez, McAllen, Texas and Beatrice Cerezo,
Clearwater, Florida; four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be; Ricardo Rojas, Miguel Rojas, Alberto Montoya,
Daniel Vasquez, Omar Gonzalez and Juan Gonzalez.
The family will receive visitors and friends on Thursday, August 16, at
7:00 pm in the Chapel at Autry Funeral Home.
Michael Lewis Wall 9/30/1943 -8/16/2007
Michael “Mickey” Wall
Graveside services for Michael Lewis Wall, 63, of Jacksonville will be
held on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Resthaven Memorial
Park.
Mr. Wall was born on September 30, 1943 in Jacksonville, to Lewis & Lora
Mae Durham Wall and he passed away on August 16, 2007 in Jacksonville.
Mr. Wall served in the U.S. Air Force, worked as a dental assistant at
the Dallas VA Hospital and was a Baptist.
Mr. Wall was preceded in death by his father; Lewis Wall and brother,
Jerry Wall.
Survivors include his mother; Lora Wall, Jacksonville, daughter; Michele
Rodgers, Haltom, City; 3 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter;
brother & sister-in-law; Larry & Laurie Wall, Colleyville and a sister &
brother-in-law; Karen & Bill Casey, Cypress Mill, Texas.
The family will receive friends and family on Friday evening, August 17
from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Helen Blow Nance 2/22/1925 -8/18/2007
Services for Helen Blow Nance, 82, Bullard, are
scheduled for Tuesday at Bullard Church of Christ with Homer Harris and
Randy Marion officiating. Burial will be in Bullard Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Nance died Aug. 18, 2007 in Tyler. She was born Feb. 22, 1925 in
Bullard. She retired as a secretary from NASA and Gulf Atlantic
Distributions. She was a member of Bullard Church of Christ, and was
preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Ray Nance, on Aug. 30, 2002.
Survivors include son, Neil Nance, Bullard; daughter, Nan Hatten,
Bullard; brother, Melvin Blow, Tyler; sister, Marvis Stripling, Bullard;
five grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Daniel Hatten, B.J. Hatten, Isiah Hatten, Charles Ray
and Tony Foster. Honorary pallbearer is Claude Stephenson.
Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mary Frances Beard 7/3/1923 -8/28/2007
Mary Frances Patch Beard, age 84, of Jacksonville,
passed away August 28, 2007. The eighth child of Rev. Wesley Fletcher
Patch and Lillie Mae Baisden Patch, she was born on July 3, 1923 in Knox
County Tennessee.
She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Stong and Susan Jamail of
Jacksonville and Cathryn Cooke of Texarkana, TX; grandchildren, Timothy
Ewing of Houston, Leah Herrington of Honeygrove, Curtis Cooke and Brian
Jamail of San Antonio; and her great-grandchildren, Emma and Mary
Annalise Herrington, Lauren, Brady and Evan Jamail, Madeleiene Ewing and
Avery Cooke.
She is preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Marvin Beard. A
memorial service will be held Friday, August 31, 2007, at 2:00 PM at
Autry Funeral Home Chapel.
