William Carrol Partin  1/25/1939 -12/3/2007

 Funeral service for William Carroll “Bill” Partin are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at Emmanuel Baptist Church Jacksonville, TX with Reverend Jack Thrift presiding. Burial will follow the service at Still Waters Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville, TX.

Mr. Partin went to be with the Lord Monday December 3, 2007 in Tyler, Bill was born January 25, 1939, in Jacksonville to William Ellis and Ella Eubanks Partin. Bill graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1957, married Sandra Kay Applegate on March 3, 1962 in Patricia, TX.

He served in the Air Force in Cunsoun, Korea during the Cuban Crisis in 1962. He served our Lord and Savior in many aspects including: Nursing Home Ministry in Tyler, Rusk, Jacksonville, Houston, Galena Park, Channelview, North Shore, Crosby, Alvin, Pasadena and Troup and at the Star of Hope and Open Door Missions in Houston, Rock of Ages Prison Ministry in the Hodge and Skyview units in Rusk. He was an ordained Deacon to defend the Gospel in Galena Park at the 2nd Baptist Church and Union Grove Baptist Church in Troup, before he was led to serve the Lord at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Jacksonville.
 
Mr. Partin was a Journeyman Electrician, ranking the highest grade point in over all apprentice school postings, he was employed with ARMCO Steel in Houston for 17 years as a foreman. He was also a Policeman for 4 years in Galena Park.

Survivors in include his Wife: Sandra Kay Partin, Jacksonville, sons: Thomas Partin, Whitehouse and Billy Dwane Partin, Tyler, a daughter: Karole Lujean Crouch, Chandler, sisters: Sunny Shelly, Starmie and Armeda, a sister-in-law: Helen Joyce Smith, Floresville, TX., 5 grandchildren: Jonathan Adam Sterling, Robert William Partin, Geoffry Lynn Partin, Christopher Andrew Partin, Brooke Ashley Partin and 1 great-granddaughter.

Pallbearers will be Mike McDuff, Thomas Lynn Partin, Billy Dwane Partin and Jonathan Adam Sterling. Honorary Pallbearers will be: The Christian Motorcycle Association.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, December 4, from 6 to 8 PM at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.

Grace Douglas 5/1/1922 -12/6/2007

Memorial services for Grace Douglas, 85, will be held Thursday, Dec. 13 at 10 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville, Texas.  Mrs. Douglas passed away Thursday, Dec. 6 at Legend Oaks in Jacksonville.

Grace Marcynthia Mullens was born on May 1, 1922 in Bristow, Oklahoma. After 30 years of raising her family and community volunteerism, Grace returned to college at East Texas State University and received a Masters Degree in Counseling. She moved to Everett, Washington where she began an 11 year career as Director of Counseling for Volunteers of America. During that time Grace served on nearly a dozen boards, task forces, committees and associations in the areas of adult education, mental health, childcare, the homeless and general human service program improvements. She retired to Ocean Shores, Washington, where she became active in the community and served on the board of the Ocean Shores Community Club. She moved to Jacksonville, Texas in 2005 to be closer to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Douglas was preceded in death by her parents: Charles and Grace Mullens and her brother Chuck Mullens.  

Survivors include daughters: Sharon Shuler and husband Rich of Johns Creek, Georgia, Cynthia Durrett and her husband Dennis of Jacksonville, Texas; sons Mac Douglas and wife Jana of Amarillo, Texas and David Douglas and wife Debi of the Kingdom of Bahrain; grandchildren Scott Shuler and wife Carrie of Roswell, Georgia; Joel Shuler and wife Lisi of Austin, Texas; Natalie Dawson and husband Von of Jacksonville , Texas; Ashley Durrett of Houston, Texas; Jennifer Daniel and husband Bryan of Amarillo, Texas; Rachelle Collins and husband Jonathan of Petersburg, Texas; Christen Douglas of Lubbock, Texas; Clark Douglas and Tyler Douglas of the Kingdom of Bahrain; great grandchildren Aiden and Nate Shuler; Von and Gracie Dawson; Preston and Brittan Daniel.

Robert Dan Hunter 07/01/1938 -12/10/2007

Funeral services for Dan Hunter, 69, of Frankston are scheduled for 10 AM Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at Autry Funeral Home in Frankston with Pastor Darrell Price presiding.

Burial will follow at Frankston City Cemetery.

Dan passed away at his home in Frankston on Monday, December 10, 2007 surrounded by his family.

He was born July 1, 1938 in Panola County to Elmo and Eva Hunter.  Mr. Hunter worked in the oil field construction industry, was a member of the Shriners and was also a Mason.  Dan served our country in the US Army and was a member of the East Side Missionary Church, in Gary.

Mr. Hunter was preceded in death by his parents and by his wife Ann Hunter.

He is survived by two daughters; Carla Hunter and Dannette Hunter of Temple, a brother, Tommy and wife Lattie Hunter, a sister, Janice and husband Maxie Lake, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Keith Bristow, Ronny Berryhill, Joy Boles, Joe Dale Dickerson, Britt Bacon and Nick Nichols.

Visitation will be 6 to 8, Tuesday, December 11 at the funeral home in Frankston.

Joe Cecil Durrett 12/02/1941 -12/11/2007

Joe Cecil Durrett 67 of Arlington Texas went to be with his Lord on December 11, 2007 after a courageous battle with liver cancer. Celebration of his life will be at 2:00 pm on Sat. Dec 15th at Autrey Funeral home in Jacksonville, TX. Visitation will be on Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. A second Memorial service will be held on Monday Dec.17th at 7:00 pm in Arlington, TX 76015; at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 1500 California Lane. His son Joe Patrick Durrett will be leading the service. Bearers of his casket will be Vernon Thompson, Thomas Thompson and Arthur Thompson all of Maydelle. Vaughn Tolber and Brandon Durrett both of Arlington. And Austin Walton of Granbury. Joe was born on Dec 2,1940 in Jacksonville Tx to Thomas and Marie Durrett who proceeded him in death. In 1959 he married Jean Thompson Durrett who also proceeded him in death in 1988. God blessed them with four children. Brenda Chain of Houston. Donna Walton and Lorna Rosales both of Granbury. And Joe Patrick Durrett of Arlington. Other survivors are his second wife and second love of his life Chris Fugett Durrett of Arlington and her daughters, Kimberly Phillips and husband James, and Liz Smith. A wonderful sister and brother -in - law Johnny and Carolyn Thompson of Maydelle. Three nephews,3 great nieces and 6 great nephews and 15 grandchildren who loved their Paw Paw. He leaves a multitude of family and friends that will miss him immensely. Joe retired from TXU in 1992 after 25 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Granbury, Texas.

Funeral services for Irma O. "Benge" Coltellaro, 79 of Jacksonville, Texas are scheduled for Friday, December 21, 2007 at 2:00 P. M. at Autry Funeral Chapel, Jacksonville with Rev. Leon Ross and Rev. David Smith presiding. Burial will follow at Jarratt Cemetery.  

Mrs. Coltellaro died Monday, December 17, 2007 in Jacksonville, TX.

She was born September 23, 1928 in Ironton to Wesley Smith Benge and Laura Clayborne. She was a member of Craft Baptist Church and was a homemaker. 

Mrs. Coltellaro was preceded in death by husband Gabriel N. Coltellaro and son Kip D. Coltellaro.  

Survivors are sons and daughter-in-law Gabriel Sky Coltellaro, Jacksonville and Kim Wesley and Janet Coltellaro, Rockwall, grandchildren Gabrien D. Coltellaro, Nikki Rose Coltellaro, Roman Gabriel Coltellaro, and Tiffany Redmond, great grandchildren Valerie Redmond, Anthony Redmond, and Natalie Redmond.  

Pallbearers will be: Weldon Lightsey, Paul Galyean, Perry Morgan, Larry White, Scott Alexander, and Dwayne Partain.

Pauline Rainwater, 86 of Jacksonville, passed from this life December 18, 2007 at Gardendale nursing home. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Thursday December 20, 2007 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel Jacksonville with Phillip Strong presiding. Burial will be at Myrtle Springs Cemetery, Ponta. She was born September 16, 1921 in Missouri to the late James and Lilly Summers. Pauline was also a member of the Southside Church of Christ, Jacksonville Mrs. Rainwater was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Silas Ross “S.R.” Rainwater sons, Richard and Charles Rainwater. She is survived by sons; Roy Rainwater and wife Pam of Indiana, Gene Rainwater and wife Daisy of Missouri, 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and many extended family and friends who loved her. Funeral services for Earl Bradford Fails, 70, of Troup, Texas are scheduled for Saturday, December 22, 2007, 1:00 P. M. at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville, Texas with Rev. Douglas Cummins and Rev. Joe Ballard officiating. Burial will follow at the Mixon Cemetery.

Mr. Fails died Tuesday, December 18, 2007 in Tyler, TX.

He was born in Freestone County, TX. on October 13, 1937. Mr. Fails was a member of Mixon Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was a tool and die maker.

He was preceded in death by grandsons Billy Earl Crutsinger and William Jack Fails, daughter Tonya LeAnne Partin, brothers Carl and Jim Billy Fails, and parents William and Laura Fails.

He was born on October 20, 1941 in McPherson, KS. to Ray William Jennings and Minnie Lou Dowdy Jennings. He was a member of Lake Area Church, Frankston and was an oil field roughneck.

He was preceded in death by father Ray William Jennings, brother William Leon Jennings and granddaughter Holly Cheree’ Jennings.

Survivors are wife Charlotte Jennings, Jacksonville, mother Minnie Lou Bland, Jacksonville, sons and daughters-in-law Rocky and Naomi Jennings, Rusk, Kenneth R. and Paula Jennings, Longview and Charles and MaLon Jennings, Tyler, daughter and son-in-law Brenda and John Smoker, Lindale, Brothers Bob Jennings, Sedan, KS. Elizabeth Theresa Matlock 11/22/1949 -12/20/2007

Elizabeth Theresa (Terry) Matlock, 58, of Houston, TX passed away on December 20, 2007 following a battle with colon cancer since 2003.  She met this challenge with strength and a strong determination.  She was born on November 22, 1949 in Delaware, Ohio.  After graduation she joined the USAF and there she met her husband of 38 years.

Survived by a loving husband, Jerry; precious son, Michael and his wife, Bridget of Spring,; also two sisters and their husbands, Kathy and Jack Harrod of Kelaware, Ohio, and Mary Jane and Steve Sprankle of Findlay, Ohio; a half sister, Jo Ann Smith and her husband, Jack of O'Fallon, Illinois; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews she adored.

She as proceded in death by her parents; Buss and Georganna (Kern) Bargdill.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 23 from 6 to 8 PM at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.  Graveside services are scheduled for Monday, December 24, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at Walker's Chapel Cemetery in Reklaw.

Billie Joe Vascocu 06/14/1929 -12/21/2007

Funeral services for Billie Jo Vascocu are set for 10:00 AM Thursday, December 27, 2007 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with the Rev. Doug Cummins officiating. Burial will follow in Still Water Memorial Gardens in Jacksonville.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 26, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Mrs. Vascocu died Friday, December 21, 2007 in Jacksonville.  She was born June 14, 1929 in Leedy, Ok. to Earl T. and Gladys Sherman. She was a retired school teacher and a Baptist.  She was also a member of the Texas State Teachers Asso.

Billie Jo was preceded in death by he husbands: W. R. Wiggins, Herbert Richmond, Rile "Buck" Lawson, Edward "Lucky" Vacocu, a daughter Susan Marie Wiggins and a sister Charlsie Suell.

She was survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Steven and Sandra Wiggins and William and Carol Wiggins all of Jacksonville, a brother Earl "Sony" Sherman of Palestine, Sisters; Betty Cotton, Jacksonville, Nedra Grimes, Jacksonville, Bobbie Sue Oaks, Baytown, Carolyn Gibson, Baytown.

Florence Mabel McDowell 08/21/1924 -12/21/2007

Memorial services for Florence McDowell, 83 of Jacksonville, Texas are scheduled for Monday December 24, 2007 at 2:00 P. M. at Autry Funeral Chapel, Jacksonville with Pastor Richard Spencer presiding. A private burial will be at Mt Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, OK. Under the direction of Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.  

Mrs. McDowell died Friday, December 21, 2007 in Jacksonville, TX. She was born August 21, 1924 in Cleveland, Ohio to The late James and Lillie Ann Brookens. She was a founding member and first president of the East Texas Speech and Hearing Association. Florence was a retired educator and a member of the First Methodist Church, Jacksonville and attended Fellowship Bible Church, Jacksonville. 

Mrs. McDowell was preceded in death by her husband Wyatt McDowell and two sons; Bud and Wade Brandon McDowell.  

Survivors are sons and daughters-in-law; Jim and Doris McDowell, Bill and Machelle McDowell both of Jacksonville, two grandchildren; Jamie McDowell and wife Jennifer of Nashville, TN and Joshua McDowell of Jacksonville; 2 great grandchildren.
 

Derek Gilbert 10/29/1963 -12/22/2007

Memorial services for Derek Gilbert are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. David Hallum, and Shawn Burch officiating.

Derek died, Saturday December 22, 2007 in Jacksonville, Texas suddenly at the age of 44. He was born October 29, 1963 in Dallas, Texas. He was at Baptist and work in Houston to Amazing Siding.

Survivors include his parents Derrell and Charlotte Gilbert of Bullard, sister and brother-in-law Kelly and Cory Fowler of Bullard, a brother and sister-in-law Daniel and Vicky Adelstine of Columbus, Georgia. Margie Mae Pond 10/4/1909 -12/23/2007

Margie Mae Pond : October 4 1909 - December 23, 2007

Margie Mae Pond was born October 4, 1909 to Hiram Clifton Brown and Wilimina Brown, New Emmaus, Texas. Mrs. Pond was a homemaker and caregiver and spent most of her adult life in the community of Concord.

Ms Pond was preceded in death by her brother Leon Brown and her husband Ernest Pond.

Margie leaves behind two loving daughters, Thelma Dain Senter of Granbury, Texas, JoAnn Stuart and Husband Lamont of Whitehouse, Texas, and son Ernest Pond Jr. and wife Tiny of Troup, Texas. 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 36 great-great-grandchildren. Ms. Pond also leaves behind numerous friends and family, caretakers from Heart to Heart hospice, Oakbrook Nursing Home and special friend and physician Dr. Rodney Wiseman.

Margie was a loving and caring person who loved to fish with her grandsons, play 42 and to bake and cook for her family and friends. In her later years, Ms. Pond resided in Oakbrook Nursing Home in Whitehouse, Texas.

Pallbearers will be her Grandsons and Great Grandsons: Gerald Senter, Dean Senter, Erik Pond, Jimmy Stuart, Steven Stuart, Kris Senter, Craig Stuart, and Drew Kelly.

Funeral Services will be held December 28th, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Autry Funeral Home 1025 SE Loop 456, Jacksonville, Texas 75766.

Visitation will be Thursday December 27, 2007 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.

Burial will be at the New Emmaus Cemetery in the community of New Emmaus.

Chaplain Henry Dial will officiate.

Aaron Ray Yarbrough 11/15/1986 -12/25/2007

Graveside services for Aaron Yarbrough, 21, Alto are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 28, 2007 at Old Palestine Cemetery, Alto, with the Rev. Jim Maddox officiating. Aaron passed away, Tuesday, December 25, 2007, in Lufkin. He was a member of Assembly of God Church in Lufkin. Survivors include his parents Dennis & Linda Yarbrough of Alto. Jack Hix Tench 8/2/1937 -12/25/2007

Funeral services for Jack Hix Tench, 70, Reklaw, TX. are scheduled for Friday, December 28, 2007 at 10:00 A. M. at Autry Funeral Home Chapel, Jacksonville with Father Mark Kusmirek presiding. Burial will follow at Walkers Chapel Cemetery, Reklaw.

Mr. Tench died Tuesday, December 25, 2007 in Reklaw.

Jack was born on August 2, 1937 in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, to Walter Baxter Tench and Willie Faulkner Tench. He joined the Air Force on September 2, 1954 and served in Aircraft Maintenance, he was discharged September 1, 1962. On July 14, 1956 he married the love of his life Dorothy Lee Pavalock at All Saint’s Catholic Church in Houston. Jack worked for General Electric in Houston for 28 years and retired at the age of 48, moved to Reklaw, and built his own house from lumber he milled himself. Although raised Baptist, he attended “Our Lady of Sorrows” Catholic Church with his wife, Dorothy, Jack considered himself a Christian, above all.

He was preceded in death by a grandson; Cory V. Lundsford.

Jack is survived by his wife Dorothy Lee Pavalock Tench, daughters & sons-in-law; Jacqualine Ann & Terry Lunsford and June Marie & Lynn Rader, grandchildren; Mandy Lee & Calvin Carpenter and Kimber Lynn Lunsford, sisters & brothers-in-law; Flossie Tench Harris, Dora & Oliver Trotter, Ruby & William Brown and Linda & Telford Tanksley, all of Georgia and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be: Terry Lunsford, William Brown, Calvin Carpenter & Lynn Rader.

A private graveside service is scheduled for Florence “Cricket” Kelley, 83, Jacksonville, TX., under the direction of Autry Funeral Home.

Ms. Kelley died Wednesday, December 26, 2007 in Jacksonville. “Cricket” was born on March 4, 1924 in Dialville, to John Avery Fitts and Ada Jane Bryant.  She was a homemaker.

Survivors include: 1 son; John Jay Lynch, Trinity, 2 daughters; Paula Massey, Jacksonville and Jan Chandler, Gallatin, 9 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, 2 brothers; 4 sisters and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services for Jack Dublin (Papa) Earle, 74, Nashville, TN., are scheduled for Friday, January 4, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Earle’s Chapel Methodist Church, Jacksonville, TX., with Dale Jamerson presiding. Burial will follow at Earle’s Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Earle died December, 27, 2007 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Jack was born on December 23, 1933 in Jacksonville, Texas. He attended Jacksonville High School where he excelled in Sports and Music, after graduation he attended Texas A & M University and Sam Houston University, he married Barbara Thomas of Jacksonville, they were married 53 years, he retired after 35 years of working for the Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Controller and Data Systems Specialist. Jack was active in the development of the FAA Conflict Alert System. He retired to Nashville where he enjoyed his children, grandchildren, music, birding and many other interests.

Jack is survived by his wife of 53 years; Barbara Earle, Ashland City, TN., his children; Steve & Allison Earle, Nashville, TN., Mark & Kathleen Earle, Colorado Springs, CO., Kelly & Ron Meers, Carver, MA., Stacey Earle & Mark Stuart, Ashland City, TN., and Pat & Rita Earle, Joelton, TN. Grandchildren; Justin Earle, Ian Earle, Molly Earle, Emily Earle, Mary Earle, Ashley Meers, Scott & Stephanie Deluke , Christopher and Lisa Mims, Kyle Mims, Jackson Earle and one great-grandchild; Nicholas Ritchie & Jack’s brother and sister-in-law; Neil & Selena Earle, Jacksonville and his sister-in-law, Barbara Earle, Jacksonville.

John Earl died Saturday, December 29, 2007 in Jacksonville. He was born February 2, 1963 in Jacksonville, to Dickey & Linda Wiggins. He was a Lineman for Cherokee County Coop for 18 years and a Truck Driver.

John Earl was preceded in death by his father; Dickey Wiggins, Uncle; David Wiggins, Grandparents; Clifford and Bess Wiggins and Roy and Laura Hammontree.

Survivors include; Debbie Wiggins of Jacksonville, daughter; Holly Wiggins of College Station, son; Russell Wiggins of Jacksonville, mother; Linda Wiggins of Jacksonville, sister and husband; Lori and Paul Laney, Jacksonville and very special person; Bryan, also many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers are; Russell Wiggins, Josh Laney, Paul Laney, Russ Robertson, Michael Wayne Birdwell, Chris Loftin and David Langham.

Honorary Pallbearers are Employees of Cherokee County Electric Coop.

Graveside services for Robert “Bobby ”Lovelady, 72, Rusk are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at Camp Ruby Cemetery, Indian Springs Texas, with the Rev. Barry Jeffires officiating.

Robert passed away, Monday, December 31, 2007, in Jacksonville. He was a Baptist, and attended Central Baptist Church in Livingston. Robert worked for a Janitorial Service.
Robert was preceded in death by a son Robert Lovelady.

Survivors include a son; James Lovelady, Houston, 4 grandchildren; James Donovan Lovelady, Jr., Kevin Wayne Lovelady, Misty Lovelady and Michelle Lovelady, 3 brothers; Perry Lovelady, Lake Tawakoni, Henry Lovelady, Jacksonville, Sam Lovelady, Kilgore and 2 sisters; Patsy Golightly, Henderson and Mary Joyce Small, Kilgore.

No Visitation is scheduled.
