 Funeral services are scheduled for Jack Gibson, 81, of Jacksonville for Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at 10:00 AM in the Autry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Hallum officiating.  Burial will follow at Earle's Chapel Cemetery.  The family will receive visitors on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the Funeral Home.

 Rodolfo C. Galan, Sr. 05/31/1955 -7/27/2006

 Rodolfo C. Galan, Sr. was born on Ma 31, 1955 in Navasoto, TX he died on July 27, 2006 in Jacksonville, TX. He was preceded in death by his father, Gabriel Galan and a son, Rodolfo Galan, Jr.

Survivors include his mother, Martha Cumpain of Jacksonville; son, Rene' Galan; daughters, Irma Banks of Houston, Maria Garner of Rusk, Crystal McClain of Jacksonville, and Daniell Galan of Lake Jackson; 10 grandchildren; brothers, Joe R. Galan of Jacksonville, Gabriel Galan Jr, of Longview, Ray Galan of Jacksonville, and Noe Galan of Jacksonville; sisters, Mary L. Martinez of Jacksonville and Eva T. Rios of Jacksonville; and 21 nieces and nephews.

A rosary will be held on Sunday, July 30 at 7:00 PM in the chapel at Autry Funeral Home.  Funeral mass will be held on Monday, July 31 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Jacksonville with Father Mark Kusmirek officiating.

Burial will follow at Meador Cemetery.

Bonnie Jean Smith 4/22/1924 -7/23/2006

 Funeral services are scheduled for Bonnie Smith, 82, of Jacksonville for Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Autry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Smithies, Rev. Diane Craver & Rev. Tom Haygood officiating.  Burial will follow the service at Still Waters Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, July 25 from 6 to 8 PM at the Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smith is survived by 3 sons & daughters-in-law, Dick & Mary Jo Smith, Charles & Betty Smith & Robert & Claudia Smith; 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 1 brother; Merton Brown & 3 sisters; Martha Staples, Sissy Davies & Minnie Brown.

 Services for Agnes Foreman, 78, of Jacksonville, will be Sunday, July 23 at 2:00 PM at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel in Brookhaven, Mississippi.  Mrs. Foreman passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2006.  She is survived by 1 son & daughter-in-law; Eldridge & Kathy Moak, 3 granddaughters & their spouses; Emily Moak, Carrie & Mike Kesler & Susan & Eric Bertram; 4 sisters, 2 brothers & several nieces & nephews.  The family will receive visitors on Saturday, July 22 from 5 to 8 PM at Brookhaven Funeral Home.  Burial will be at Ramah Baptist Church Cemetery.

Don Ray Sanders 06/09/1955 -7/15/2006

Graveside services are scheduled for Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Pierces Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Waymon Claiborne officiating, burial will follow.  The family will be receiving visitors on Monday, July 17 from 6 to 9 pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Sanders passed away at his home on Saturday.

Frances Kent Coppock
9/24/1949 -7/9/2006

FRANCES KENT COPPOCK, 56, went to be with her Lord after a valiant battle with Kidney disease on Sunday, July 9, 2006 in a Tyler Hospital. Services are scheduled for Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at 10 AM in the Autry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Daniels officiating, graveside services will be at 2 PM at Kerens Cemetery, Kerens, Texas. Mrs. Coppock was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church,. She was preceded in death by her mother, Macye White Kent. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Dr. Charles Coppock; her three children Matt, Cara and BreeAnn Coppock of Houston; parents, Loyd and Mary Kent; brothers, Will & Bill Kent of Kerens and Jack Kent of Ft Worth; mother-in-law, Geneva Coppock and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 11th from 6 to 8 pm at Autry Funeral Home.

Harold Brunson, Edwin Crank & Tony Cleaver officiating.  Burial will be in the Myrtle Springs Cemetery, Ponta, TX. Margaret was born October 2, 1924 in Seagoville, TX., to Bud & Mamie Burton Darnell and passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2006 in Tyler.  She was a retired beautician and homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, New Summerfield.    She was preceded in death by a son, Tony Brazier and brother-in-law, Billy Brazier.    She is survived by her husband of 66 years, James Henry Brazier, grandson Scott Brazier, New Summerfield, daughter-in-law, Jan Brazier, Jacksonville, sister-in-law, Nedra Brazier, New Summerfield, nieces, Paula Brazier Davis & Pam Brazier, New Summerfield & a nephew, Gary Brazier, New Summerfield.   Pallbearers will be Jim Wallace, James Greenwood, James Gardner, Jess Martin, Byron Underwood, Delaney Brazier, Ron Ronnette & Max Tipton.  Honorary Pallbearers are Earl Higgins, L.H. Francis Claude Bateman 08/13/1931 -8/19/2006

Funeral services for Francis C. Bateman, Sr., 75, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 10:00 a. m. Tuesday, August 22, at the Autry Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Bob Huddleston officiating.

 Visitation will begin on Monday, August 21, 2006 with his family receiving friends from 6 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery, Jacksonville.

Mr. Bateman died on August 19, at his residence. He was born August 13, 1931 in Hope, AR. He was a utility inspector for gas pipelines and a fiber-optic cable installer and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Scudder and Lucy Bateman and two brothers, Joe Ralph Bateman and Willard T. Bateman.

Survivors include wife Margarett Bateman of Jacksonville. Five sons and daughters-in-law; Francis C. (Butch) and Trina Bateman Jr., Bobby and Terry Bateman, Billy and Shelia Bateman, Steven and Danene Bateman, David and Jana Bateman all of Jacksonville; daughter, Beverly Susan Bateman of Jacksonville; eighteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Billy D. and Gaby Bateman of Frankston; one sister and brother-in-law Margaret and Hubert Lewis of Jacksonville; Nine nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jarrod Bateman, Micah Bateman, David T. Bateman, Cody Lee Smith, Ronnie Motley, Chris Henderson and Billy Bateman. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Robinson, Chris Wimmer, and Dr. Chad Trammell.

Erik Scott McKinney 11/26/1986 -8/16/2006

 Funeral services for Erik Scott McKinney, 19, of Jacksonville are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 19, 2006 in the chapel at Autry Funeral Home with the Revs. Larry  Hunt and John Pruitt officiating.  

Visitation will begin on Friday, August 18 with his family receiving friends from 6 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Still Waters Memorial Gardens, Jacksonville.  

Mr. McKinney died on August 16, in University Park, he was born on November 26, 1986 in Tyler.  He was training to be a Chef in Dallas at the Hilton Anatole and he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jacksonville.  

Survivors include his parents, Kevin & Kathy McKinney; brother, Bryan Wade McKinney; sister, Lana Kaye McKinney; grandparents, James & Myrna McKinney and Jimmy & Betty Hawkins all of Jacksonville; uncles & aunts Keith & Patricial McKinney, Kim McKinney, Ronney & Jan Hawkins, Jerry & Kathy Hawkins; his love, Shanna Goleman of Jacksonville; and his Chihuahuas, Killer & Doofey.   Pallbearers are Bryan Wade McKinney, Chris Hawkins, Jason Hawkins, Danny Hawkins, Keith McKinney, Brand Goleman, and Jamie McKinney.  Honorary  pallbearer, Patrick Nance and R.J. Moore. 

He was preceded in death by his uncle, Ken McKinney.

Lockie Mae Harrison 4/23/1915 -8/8/2006

Lockie Mae Henderson Harrison   Lockie Henderson Harrison (a lady who made a “Difference”), age 91, of Leggett, TX., passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2006, in Lufkin, TX.  She was born on April 23, 1915, in Frankston, the daughter of George Lafe and Leora Henderson.  Lockie received her education in the Frankston School District with two brothers and ten sisters.  She married Mitchell Gilder Harrison on July 1, 1933 in Frankston.  Two beautiful daughters (Janie & Katherine) were born to Lockie and Mitchell.  
     When Lockie was nineteen years of age, her mother died leaving younger sisters without a mother. She became their substitute mother, as these little girls accepted her love, devotion and guidance.  Lockie made a difference in the lives of the girls in guiding them to become the ladies that they became.  
     Her devotion and guidance also touched the third and fourth generation, of the Henderson family.  She was always ready and willing to accept the roll of mother, grandmother, and great grandmother making a difference in their lives also.   
    The Harrison family moved to Leggett, TX., in 1945.  Lockie became an intricate part of the Leggett Baptist Church, as she “put feet to her intentions” ministering to the community.  She made a difference in the lives of people in Leggett for Sixty-one years.  
     Lockie was preceded in death by her parents, George and Leora Henderson; husband, Mitchell Harrison; daughter, Katherine Harrison; two brothers: Cone and Harvey Henderson; six sisters: Dallas Walters, Opal Maxwell, Margaret Felder, Jeanette Landrum, Jo Kocian and Ruth Smith.   
    She is survived by daughter, Janie Rivers Pollock of Houston, TX; grandson, Thomas Rivers and granddaughter, Michelle Rivers, both of Houston; four sisters: Maybell Adams of Chandler, Mary McNeil of Frankston and Evelyn Mayo and Myrtle George of Jacksonville; one beloved special Niece, Lucille Avery of Angel Fire, NM.; one beloved brother-in-law, Everett Smith of Jacksonville, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.   
    Graveside services will be held, Saturday, August 12, 2006, at 11:00 AM at Liberty Hill Cemetery near Frankston with Rev. J.A. Griffin officiating.  Nephews will serve as pallbearers.  A visitation will be held on Friday, August 11, 2006 at Cochran Funeral home in Livingston.  Local arrangements are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home.

Roy Travis Pugh 10/16/1922 -8/3/2006

Funeral services for Roy Travis Pugh, 83 of Jacksonville are scheduled for Sunday, August 6 at 4:00 PM at Autry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Buddy Johnson & Rev. Philip Warren officiating.  Burial will be in the Corine Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Saturday, August 5 at the funeral home.  Mr. Pugh was a retired Teacher and Coach at several schools in neighboring communities. He was in the US Army Air Force and played basketball for Fredericks Academy Air Force Falcons, Philadelphia Warriors & the Fort Wayne Pistons.
