Cochran County Census before 1900
1890 Federal Census was lost when it was destroyed in a fire. 1880 Census: I have not found a free census for Cochran Co. on line, but you can search the 1880 Federal census at the Family History Center. Just enter your ancestor's name, country, and state. Click HERE to go to the census search. If your ancestor lived in the Cochran Co. area before 1876, when it became a county, your should search the two parent counties of Cochran; Bexar Co. and Young Co. Young Co. has the 1860 census on line and Bexar Co. has the 1870 census on line. _____________________________
