Here are the transcriptions of the obituaries published in the Herald-Zeitung,
a New Braunfels newspaper:
Roy E. West, age 69 years, died Saturday, Nov. 5, 1994 at his residence.
He was born Oct. 28, 1925 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to James E. West and Edith
West. He joined the Navy in 1942. He served proudly aboard the
U.S.S. Monterrey. He moved to Texas in 1946. He retired after
36 years of dedicated service from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. He
was an engineer for most of his 36 years of service.
Mr. West is survived by his two sons, Glenn West and Irving West of New
Braunfels. Also a sister, Edith Rodgers and a brother,
James West of San Antonio.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Zoeller Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
Memorials may be given to Hospice New Braunfels.
Wilma (Jeannie) West passed away on Monday, May 26, 2003, at the North Central
Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas,
at the age of 75 years. She is survived by two sons, Glenn Allen West, of
New Braunfels and Irving Wayne West, and wife,
Diane Kimball, of McQueeney, Texas; three sisters, Caroline Rawlins, of
Georgia, Eleanor Fuchs , of Long Island, N.Y. and
Shirley Dibe, of DeLand Fla., and also by one grandchild, Avery Kimball.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. West, and one sister, Betty
Miller.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Zoeller Funeral Home and
continue until service time Friday. Services will be
Friday, May 30, 2003, at 11 a.m. at the Zoeller Funeral Home, with interment
to follow in the Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be given to Hope Hospice.
Irving Wayne West. Funeral arrangements are complete at the Zoeller
Funeral Home for Irving Wayne West, who passed away
on Thursday, November 24, 2005 at the age of 48 years.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Kimball of Seguin, Texas; daughter, Avery
Kimball of Seguin and one brother, Glenn West.
Irving was also survived by several aunts.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Zoeller Funeral Home
and continue until 8:30 a.m. Thursday. Graveside services will be held
on Thursday, December 1, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Guadalupe Valley Memorial
Park. The family has requested that memorial contributions be given
to the charity of one's choice.

78, passed away on June 5, 2008. She was born in New Braunfels, TX to Herbert
and Lydia Jonas. She was a life long resident of Harlingen.
She was involved with the Geneology and Historical Societies of Harlingen
for many years. She maintained a booth in Frankie's Collections in the Downtown
District.
She is survived by her daughters Betty (Ronnie) Miller, Carol (Bob) Demmert,
and grandsons, Jared, Matt, Eric (Shelley), Scott (Laura), Bill (Chris).
She is also survived by a great-grandson, Dillon and a great-great granddaughter,
Jamie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Scotty Fortin, son
Jimmy, and two grandchildren.
She loved all of her children and friends dearly. She was loved dearly and
will be missed by all.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and son-in-laws.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 8, 2008 from 1 PM to 9 PM with family present
from 5 PM to 7PM.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church
in Harlingen.
Graveside services will follow at Mont Meta Cemetery in San Benito.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Paul Lutheran
School or the charity of their choice in her memory.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rudy Garza Funeral Home of
Harlingen.
