Introduction:
The Goal of this book is to identify for the first time all of the
women in Texas who filed claims for their own homesteads, either as heads
of families or as single women,
from 1845 when Texas became a state, to 1898 when land ceased to be
available for homesteading.These woman as a group are totally missing from
Texas history.
All of these are Claimants 1870-1898
All FILES are listed with General Land Office , State Of Texas,
