The Boerne Area Historical Preservation
Society will hold their First Annual Kaffee Klatsch, April 25, 2004
The society invites the community to take a trip to the happy
days of yester-year when you visited Oma and Opa on Sunday Afternoon.
With an old fashioned Kaffee Klatsch just like Oma’s, Sunday afternoon
April 25, 2004; 3 pm to 5 pm at the Kulhmann-King house - 402 East
Blanco Street, Boerne, TX. Handicapped parking available behind
the City Hall.
Tours will be available of the Kulhmann -King house during the
afternoon. The last stop of the tour is the Country Kitchen, an out
standing example of life in the 1800’s; you will find a fully equipped
kitchen, members and visitors may bring small kitchen utensils from
yester-year for show and
tell.
Refreshments will be the same traditional foods served in oma’s
kitchen, all baked by members of the society. Home baked breads,
butter, molasses, jellies and Koch Kase, dried sausage, Old Fashioned
German Kuchen, molasses and oatmeal cookies, cinnamon rolls with a good
cup of hot kaffee, or ice cold lemonade. Bring your cameras and
spend the afternoon.
FREE tours of the Kulhmann -King, and the Graham building are available
to the public by appointment only. Twenty - four hours notice is
