2006 Transcription Notes: This 2006 transcription and presentation on the Internet by Wanda Qualls and Donna Gordon from photographed pages taken by Sarah Reveley has tried to be as faithful as possible to the 1987 typed transcription prepared by Alfred Brueckner (see introduction below). WANDA/SARAH--something might be said where the 1987 document can be found as well as the orginal sexton's records either here or someplace else with a link to it. The 1987 introductory paragraphs have been transcribed for electronic format as written. To avoid muddying the historical record, the records were transcribed with consideration given to organization in a database format for expanded flexibility and ease of use, but with the least change possible to the content. The 1987 transcription included parenthises "(. . .)" which were either in the handwritten document or used to enclose comment added by 1987 transcriber Alfred Brueckner. In this 2006 electronic transcription, any additional content is enclosed in brackets "[ . . .]".

Note that much about the early recordings were not consistent in content or format (a problem with the original records, not Mr. Brueckner's transcription). That is part of the both the charm and value of the record. Take note of the time of the death, who died, and who may have reported the death to understand why some entries may not be as orderly or complete as others.
