ADAMS posted by Dianne Bluhm on Sunday, October 21, 2001: I am looking for my ggg-aunt and uncle. Their names were ADAMS, Albert and Corrine. They died in Comal County in 1973 and 1970 respectively. I would like to find the cmetery where they were buried.

HARSDORF, HASDORFF, HESDORFF, TAYLOR posted by Ron Hesdorff on Monday, November 5, 2001: I am looking for information on my great frandmother whose name was Lou TAYLOR before marrying my great grandfather Christoph HARSDORF ( HASDORFF) around 1880. She had a child by her previous marriage by the name of John Wiley TAYLOR who was born in Sattler, Texas on October 8, 1875 and died on May 29, 1967. My grandfather James Jackson HASDORFF was born to Lou and Christoph on October 2, 1886 in Kendall County. If anyone knows the maiden name of my Lou TAYLOR please let me know. My grandfather's death certificate lists his mother's maiden name as Taylor but this was her previous married name, I don't believe my father or his sisters knew their grandmother's maiden name when their father died. The name HARSDORF was changed a few times since my great frandfather Christoph and his family came over from Germany in 1850. I believe my great grandfather Christoph and his family came over from Germany in 1850. I believe my great frandfather changed the spelling to HASDORFF and my granfather James Jackson chnged it to HESDORFF. Any additional information on these families would alsobe helpful. GROTHE, WESTHAUS, WESTHAUSEN, WESTHUSE, WESTHUSEN posted by Otto Sprossel on Monday, December 3, 2001: Wanda, Some time ago, I sent several names of whome I was searching. Since then (long ago) I have changed my email address. My email address now is: sprosse@attglobel.net I am searching for the following names: GROTHE WESTHUSE (WESTHUSEN WESTHAUSEN) Most of my paternal family came from the area north of Magdeburg (East Germany) around the area of Burgstall, Valthen (Now incorporated into Tangerhutte) My maternal great grandparents immigrated to Texas circa 1886. I know there was at least one child (a son) with them and possibly a brother of my g/grandmother. Johann Jochim Friedrich WESTHUSE (WESTHUSEN WESTHAUS WESTHAUSEN) and Dorothee Elizabeth (GROTHE) WESTHUSE came to this country with their son (unknown name), believed to be about 12 years of age. There may have been other children, but I do not know. The son grew up and became interested in horses and horse racing, and later in life was active in that area; I've been told he woned and raced horses. He supposedly died some where near the Mexican Border and was buried in Texas. His wife (Dorothee) returned to Germany where she died (I have yet to corroborate that!) And tha's all I know. I especially would like to find out how long he resided in Kerr County? He and Elizabeth (sister?) show up in the first (1860) census for Kerr County. From the brief write up in the Handbook of Texas, he was quite a visionary. ANy help will be appreciated.

JOHANN (JOHN) PFEIFFER, my Great Grandfateher, emigrated for Prussia (Nidrum, Belgim, now ) in 1856 to WS with his parents LEONARD & MARGARETHA SCHLOCK-SCHLACKS PFEIFFER and brothers JOHN PETER & NICHOLAS PFEIFFER. The family lived in D'Hanis, Tx in 1857. JOHN & NICHOLAS PFEIFFER took their Naturalization Oaths in Comal Co. in 1866 and NICHOLAS PFEIFFER married WILHELMINA L. ALVES in 1869.
