The Scouts only containing from eight to ten men were out only occasionally as the
emergency of the call demanded and our opperations were up0n the N. West boundary
line of our County.
There has been no discovery of Indians but am satisfied they entered the N. West
corner of our County about the 25th of August, 1861 and stole one horse from Asa
Lankford who followed them and saw that they were Indians. Several other horses
were from Lampasas about the same time also by Indians.
I certify on honor that the foregoing is a correct Report of the Minute Company
under my command and that the number of days set opposite each man's name are
correct and service is actual service.
Sworn Subscribed to before me the 20th day of September of 1861.
