Duval Co. Census records
Duval County was created in 1858, but was attached to Nueces Co. until 1876 when it officially became a county. The first census in Duval was taken in 1880. Prior to that, this area was included in the Nueces Co. census. If your ancestors lived there in 1880, you can search for them on the Family Search site here.
