Corpus Caller, January 6, 1968 (Page 12C) Mrs. Antonio Perez-SAN DIEGO-Mrs. Antonio E. Perez, 58, died Friday afternoon at an Alice hospital after apparently suffering a heart attack. She was a native of San Diego. Her given name was Simona. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday in the Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Chapel here. Echo-News - (Mar/24/2006) Rosas SAN DIEGO, Texas - Olivia Perez Rosas, 81, a
lifelong resident of San Diego, Texas, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2006 in an Alice
hospital after a sudden illness. She was a loving mother, grandmother, wife and
friend to everyone who knew her. She was preceded in death by her grandson, PFC Richard
Homero Rosas, who was killed in action in Iraq on May 25, 2004; and her son, Hilario Rosas
on January 3, 2005. She is survived by her husband Felipe H. "Pipo" Casso
of San Diego, Texas; her daughter, Dolores "Lola" Rosas and her granddaughter
raised as a daughter, Noralee Rosas, both of San Diego, Texas; two sons, Homero Rosas Jr
of Austin, Texas and Gilberto Rosas of St. Louis, Mich.; two sisters, Santos Guerra and
Consuelo Garcia, both of Alice, Texas; two brothers, Conrado Perez and Enrique E. Perez,
both of San Diego, Texas; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation
will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at the Garza Funeral Home in
San Diego, Texas. Vigil for the Deceased will be observed with a Rosary to be recited at 7
p.m. that evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 23,
2006 at St. Francis De Paula Catholic Church in San Diego, Texas. Burial will follow at
the San Diego Cemetery II in San Diego, Texas. illness. She was a graduate of San Diego High School. She was also co-owner and
corperation vice-president of Liberty Lodge, Inc. in Alice, Texas and a member of the
Altar Rosary Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcelino
"Lino" Ramos; her parents, Nicanor and Maria G. Perez; one half-sister, Virginia
P. Gutierrez; one half-brother, Oscar C. Perez; two brothers Nicanor Rafael and Jose
Carlos Perez . Aida is survived by two sisters, Humbelina (Gabino) Charles of Alice,
Texas; Yolanda Perez of San Diego, Texas; one brother, Anastacio Eduardo (Phyllis) Perez
of San Antonio, Texas; two nephews that she raised as sons, Richard and Ralph Perez; three
step-daughters, Idolina (Robert) Ibanez, Idalia (Herminio) Ibanez; Imelda Ramos; three
step-sons, Mariano (Amelia) Ramos, Marcelino (Delia) Ramos Jr. Tony (Carmen) Ramos;
numerous step-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Visitation was held from 2 to 9 p.m. on
Saturday, May 30, 2009 and 9 to 9 on Sunday, May 31, 2009 at the Garza Funeral Home in San
Diego, Texas with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be

He reportedly was hit by hostile small arms fire while on combat patrol Jan 3. the Caller erroneously reported today that he was the 82nd South Texan killed in Vietnam.
