Here is a reproduction of
the minutes that recorded the establishment of the BYPU at the First Baptist
Church, Fredericksburg. The minutes read: "Jan 1, 1922.
We met at 6.45 to organize a B.Y.P.U. Bro Bowers gave us a very enteresting
talk on B.Y.P.U. work. The following officers were elected.
President Frank Goodale. Vice President Harold
Young. Sec Iona Billings. Corresponding Sec Louis Sattler.
Treasurer Berneice Goodale.
"We decided to meet from
now on at 6. oclock on Sunday evenings." (spelling as on original)
Minutes for the second meeting
read as follows: "Jan 8, 1922 the B.Y.P.U. met at 6.45. The
meeting was called to order by Bro Billings. Mr. Harold Young made
a moition to put the Sec. and Cor. Sec. into one office and the moition
was carried. We voted on the group captains and Dean Teague and Louie
Sattler were chosen. The B.Y.P.U. officers and group
captains met and divided the members into two equal sides giving Louis
Sattler side no I and Dean Teague side no II. It was decided that
side no I should give the program on Jan 15. We closed by singing
a song."

A "Roll Call" document iprovides for attendance by Dean Teague, Berneice Goodale, Esta Williams, Mrs. Goodale, Louis Teague, Mr. Billings, Mrs. Sattler, Louis Sattler, Tom Goodale, Ross Billings, Harold Young, Iona Billings, Frank Goodale, Mrs. Billings.
