It was decieded to move the Barnett Spring Presbyterian Church to Harper and put the building on land given by the late Arch Austin. The members did much of the work themselves, as co-operation was the medium of exchange in those far away days. Harvey Stevens was one of the members who helped put on the church roof.
The First Wedding in the Presbyterian Church was the marriage of Claudia Rogers and Charlie Whitewood.
