I am looking for information on the CULPEPPERS, who lived at Morales de Lavaca in Jackson
County in 1860. It appears from the 1860 Census that my G-Grandfather ( Hiram EMMONS) and
his children were living in the same household with this family. I am told that there is a
Culpeppers family that has lived in Gonzales County since the 1880's. Does anyone have any info
on the history of this family? Bill K -AZ

I am interested in obtaining information about the August MEYER family. I understand his
grandson's wife, Fannie Meyer, did a lot of research and that some of the information is on file in
the Gonzales County history book. Since this is all new to me I don't know what records might be
available. We do know about the family cemetary at Belmont. If we were to visit Gonzales, what
records would we find. Fannie traced the family tree; is this information on file? To further aid
you in answering my questions, August Meyer was married to Anna ZUMBERGE Meyer. After
August's death, Anna married Jonathon Ramsey KEITH. Thank you for any help you came give
me to help me get started with my research. Wanda Myers,

I am trying to find out more information about my ancestor, Toliver FERGUSON (b abt 1800
TN). Through the LDS site, I have found a Toliver Ferguson who marries #1-Rebecca J. CLARK
in Matazorda Co, TX in 1839 and #2-Lucindy A. GILBREATH in Gonzales CO, TX in 1845 and
also a listing in the Gonzales Co Probate Book A (Entry # 134) for a Toliver Ferguson. I am
trying to find out if this Toliver Ferguson found in TX is the same person as my Toliver Ferguson
of TN. I really appreciate any help you can give me. Evidently Toliver left his wife and children in
TN and headed west to TX between 1838-1839, as there is no record of him in TN. (His TN wife
did have 2 sons born between 1835-1839). Thanks! Sherri F. Draper

My husband's great grandfather lived in Gonzales County and we think he died there. His name
was Frederick WIELAND, the last name was changed to WHEELAND but it might have been
after he died, since his widow started getting his Civil War pension check in 1907, he must have
died at least after 1900. He was from Switzerland. Thank you so much. Linda Wheeland
