I am looking for any information on the Marion Davis BELL & Mary Elizabeth MAY family.
Marion born 5-1-1875 & died 8-19-1952 in Nixon, Gonzales Co. Was married to Mary May on
10-28-1895 in Stockdale, Wilson Co. She was born 12-15-1870 in Gonzales Co. & died
9-29-1947 in Gonzales. Mary was also married to Dave DOLLERY. Marion & Mary had 8
children: Eva Mary, 8-16-1896 - 2-4-1898; Margaret Rozella (Rosie) 9-13-1898 - 9-3-1989 md
Walter S.Brister; Mac Irving 8-16-1900; Alfred Phillip 2-25-1902 - 1921 md Doris May; Rachel
Dexter 9-2-1904 - 1-7-1952 md Carl Gibson; Ernest 4-26-1906 - 11-20-1923; Odis Adolph
3-18-1908 - 4-26-1981 md Annie Townsend; Winnie Louisa - 1-27-1910 - d ?., md Lonnie Wiley;
Hubert Marion 11-14-1911. Information is welcome on any of these people and their descendents.
They all lived around Gonzales, Caldwell and Wilson Counties. I have other family info. I will

My father, John Calender YOUNG Jr., was born May 14, 1914 in Belmont. All I know about his
parents are their names, John Calender Young and Eleanor (Nona) WELLS. I believe my
grandfather died when my father was between 9 -13 yrs old. I do not know that it happened in
Belmont. If you run across anything on these names during your searches I would appreciate it if

CANNADY Wingo they had nine children, one passed away at 11 years old in Gonzales Co. I do

I am trying to find out where Wiley Washington PRIDGEN Sr. is buried. He died in Gonzales
Co. Tx. in 1854. He had a second wife and I think she was my ggrandmother. First wife, Mary
BAKER. Second wife Ann E. Pridgen lived in Gonzales , Tx. Annie Elizabeth (my
ggrandmother) m. My ggrandfather George W. WHITE in Gonzales, Tx. 1854. and on a pension
that she applied for later she states that she was m. to a Pridgen before marrying George

I am interested in sharing information with anyone researching NELSON in Gonzales County.
My interest is in Carrick W. Nelson b.June 18, 1810 in Tennessee. He m. Eliza C. DRAKE. He
is listed in the 1870 U. S. Census, Gonzales Co., Texas as Carrick W. Nelson 59, M W Lawyer
(and office), uncertain value of real estate, 500 personal estate, place of birth - TN. There is no
family listed with Carrick - his wife apparently remained in Tennnessee as she is listed in the 1870
Census in Knox Co., Tennessee. Several of their children had moved to Texas - Dallas Co. and

Seeking info about Christopher FITZGERALD, who moved from Maury Co., TN to Fayette Co,
TX, and who married Mary BURKE on 15 Oct 1843, Fayette Co., TX. They had 12 children. He
died in Fayette Co, TX in 1866. Need proof of who his parents are. Parents may be John
Fitzgerald and Jane Holloway, of Pittsylvania Co, Va., or William Edward Fitzgerald and

HARRIS, Sidon: I have been told that the intestate records at the county court house might show
the heirs of John HARRIS. Harris, John from KY, resident of Gonzales Co. prior to fall of Alamo,
where he died (Member of Gonzales Alamo Relief Force). His brother, Sidon H. Harris received
headright, for John's service. Looking for proof that Sidon H. Harris received John's headright.

served in the War Between the States from Gonzales, Co.,TX. His wife was Eliza Ann FOSTER
(daughter of John Claiborne Foster). William was a member of Lodge #199 Sanders Chapel,

I am researching SWITZER surname. I have found John Switzer on the 1880 census in Gonzales
Co., and confirmed that he is the brother of my ancestor. His children are found on the school
rolls in Gonzales co., 1877 -1884. Where can I find more information on these schools? 1877 &
89: Mt Vernon #32. 1880 - 81: Capt Guss Jones #39. 1882: Gonzales #1 - White school. I don't
know if moving during these time periods resulted in the different. schools or if there were just

Felipe ZAMBRANO married Antonia CANTU in about 1860 in Starr County. They had many
children and most of them moved to Kenedy, Beeville and in that area. Felipe had a son Teodoro
Zambrano who had a son Felipe Zambrano who had a son Felipe Hinojosa Zambrano---who was
born about 1934 in Skidmore or Kenedy. Any information on the Zambrano family would be
greatly appreciated. I can send more info. if you think it may help. I believe there may be a
Tiburcio Zambrano and Antonia Zambrano-(born approx. 1838) buried in the Pettus Cemtery and

Several of my family were in Texas in 1836 until present. The org. Brothers Charles A. TUTON,
William Tuton, and Oliver K. Tuton had mentioned DeWitt and Gonz. Counties is several
sections of the family history. Any help you can be with my surname would be greatly appreciate.
The name was misspelled TUTTON, TEUTON, and TUTEN. In the Austin Census of 1850 it

I am looking for information on a Hugh LEWIS from Gonzales County who married Carrie Mae
GRANTHAM from Caldwell County. They had three Children, Luella born November 10, 1921,
Johnny Maurice, and Annie Mae born March 25, 1925. Luella died at the age of 11 of a weak
heart due to diptheria. At the time of Luella's death, Carrie and her children were living in Helena,
Karnes County. It is not known if Hugh was living with them at this time or not. I would

I am trying to track the McCOYs and HOLDENs from Waxachie,Texas. My grandfather was a
McCoy and his wife was a Holden. My mother is no help in this area as she only remembers one
grandfather and his name was Ace Holden and I don't even know where he is buried. I was
