The City of Gonzales is located in the heart of Gonzales County about 65 miles south of Austin on U.S. 183, with Houston about 130 miles to the east and San Antonio about 65 miles to the west.

Gonzales is 10 miles south of Interstate 10, which is the primary transportation link between Houston and San Antonio.

Historically, the Cradle of Texas Liberty, Gonzales has much to offer the visitor both aesthetically and commercially.
