Gonzales Records Center and Archives ...has become the most impressive collection of documents related to Texas History. Much of the archives predate the Republic of Texas era.

Please be respectful of any person you request to do a lookup. These people are usually involved in their own research, have jobs during the day and are doing this on a voluntary basis. Limited requests to one or two names unless the volunteers says they will accept more. Provide as much information as possible and be as specific as possible and include the county name. Requesting "anything on Smith's" will not get much of a response. Be sure to express your appreciation to the volunteers for the efforts made on your behalf.
