I am researching the BLACKMON, BASS, & PARKER surnames. Meredith Blackmon b. 1847 in Robeson Co.; married to Christine Bass, b. 1850 also in Robeson. They lived in Gonzales beginning about the 1870's. They had four children: Alexander Blackmon, b. 1873; d. 14 Dec. 1953 (Gonzales); Emma, b. 1877; William (Will) Henry, b. 1879, d. 12 Nov. 1938, Gonzales, He married Lydia Parker, who d. 23 Set. 1927, Gonzales; and Less who d. 10 Mar. 1927 in Gonzales. William Blackmon and Lydia Parker had four children. Lemon, Lura, Dow, and Ralph. Lura Blackmon Perry was my grandmother. Could you please check on 1.) Meredith Blackmon and Christine Bass death records and if they are buried in Gonzales; and 2) any records (especially marriage liscense) of Willaim Perry and Lydia Parker. Searching for any documents on Rev. William Henry Harrison BIGGS, Methodist minister that traveled throughout South Texas from 1874 to 1930's when he died in Brownsville, TX. His first wife was Sarah Julia BELL, died 27 Jan. 1881 in Goliad, TX. Second wife was Pattie Dallam TAYLOR. Biggs lived for a number of years in the San Marcos area as Presiding Elder. Can someone help me find Mary Ann GREEN KING PINSON. She was last listed as living in Marquez, Leon Co. TX as of 1895. I have this information from her Union Pension appication. In this pension file it has statements from her son Thomas H. Pinson and son-in-law George W. ALFORD. They too lived in Leon Co. at that time. Another son William C. Pinson may also have been in the county. In the pension file it states she died in 1897. Was she buried in Leon Co.? If so where? Hopefully there is a headstone. She had a brother James M. Green who lived in Williamson Co.. She also had family in Gonzales Co. TX as well. Please help!

Researching descendants of Randall McDONALD (born New York, died circa 1851, probably Ontario, Canada), son of John and Margaret McDonald, who were among the first settlers of Kent Co., Ontario. His people were Loyalists from New York who in 1806 went to Delaware, Ontariio, and then to Howard Twp., Kent Co., Ontario. He may have been a ship's captain. He was married in 1815 to Polly HUBBELL, (born Fairfield, CT, died 1833, Kent Co., Ontario, Canada), daughter of Prindle Hubbell and Abigail SHERMAN. They had 9 children: Alexander, who married Isabella SMITH and stayed in Ontario; Sarah "Sallie", who married Allen Lipscomb and went to Oakland Co., MI, then to Barry Co., MI; Miles H., who married Christy Ann BEDFORD, they had a farm in Zone, Ontario; Abigail, who died young; Polly, who married John TAPE; Anna, who married Henry A. BOWER, and after 1844 went to Woodland, Barry Co., MI; Anslem, who married Mary A. DODMAN and lived at Thamesville, Ontario; Lawson, who married Mary "Polly" and lived in Barry Co., MI from 1857-1865, then went to Gonzales, TX. I have found no trace of him in any census index in TX; Margaret, who was raised by her aunt and uncle, Anna and Henry Bower in Ionia Co., MI. She married Hugh Dodds.

Thomas W. BELL was envolved in the Meir Expedition in the early 1840's, was captured by the Mexican's, drew a "white bean",taken to a Mexican prison and released in 1844. While in prison Bell attended O. R. WILLIS until Willis' death there. BELL went back to TN upon his release, met and married Mary Asletha Willis, the widow of O. R. Willis. Thomas and Mary raised a family in Dyer Co. TN and planned to move to TX. Thomas died in TN in 1871 but Mary and family went on to Gonzales, Co. TX. Mary died in 1897 and is buried at Wrightsboro near Gonzales. The Bells and DAVIDSONS were friends both in TN and TX. Thomas W. Bell and Mary A. (Willis) Bell were my 2nd great granparents. I would like to know the maiden name of Mary A. (Willis) Bell.

Looking for info about the WILLIFORD family. Dave T. Williford was married to Emma LOOKINGBILL Williford they had at least six children. Jesse Williford, born 1884; Bertha Williford born 1886; George Williford born 1888. Retta Williford born, between 1888 & 1900; Grace Williford born 1905. Emma after she had Grace. Bertha helped raise Grace. They were in Gonzales in 1886 when Bertha was born. Dave T. died in Brady, Tx buried in Junction, Tx in 1928. Grace died in Mason, Tx. buried in Junction Texas. Need info where Grace Williford was born, perhaps somewhere around Boerne County. Dave T. had a brother Lee Louis, and a sister Martha. Lee Louis married Polly Lookingbill. Martha married William DENAX. Dave and Lee Louis were from Arkansas; I think Dave was born in Little Rock, Ark. around 1862. His parents might have been Louis and Martha. Dave T. and Lee Louis were living in Gonzales in 1880 with their sister Martha Denax. Any info appreciated.

Looking for information on Alfious PERRY. Born Oct. 1876 in Mississippi, died about 1905 (buried at Whitepoint Cementary). His father was Henry Perry (Mississippi). Alfious Perry married Emma BLACKMON. During Emma's fourth pregnancy, two children and Alfious died. The two surviving children were Doris Perry and Alfious (Alf) Lewis Perry (born in Comanche). Alf Perry married Lura in 1921. They had four children (Henry, Preston, Kathryn, and (Nannie)Virginia. Alf and Lura are my grandparents. Virginia is my mother. I am interested in any information about the Perry, Blackmon, or (Lydia)PARKER, surname. Thank you.
