Seeking information on Christopher Columbus ANDERSON. Christopher was born on May 24,1844 in Jackson Mississippi Hinds County. He died on Jan.14,1911 in a community called Pierce Station in Texas, in the home of a Mr.& Mrs. J.J. Griffin. On Oct. 18,1874 he married Mary Louvenia GOLDMAN in DeWitt County Texas. Mary was born on Nov.28,1857. Mary died on Sept.1,1907 in Gonzales County, Texas. Both Christopher and Mary are buried in a small county cemetery in Smiley,Texas. The name of the cemetery is call, "The Sample Cemetery" Christopher and Mary Anderson had 5 children that lived and died as adults. They were: 1. Elizabeth Marie Ida Anderson born on Jan.12,1876 in Gonzales County. She married a William KENT. Both died in Az. 2. Mattie Ann Anderson born on Nov.9,1877 in Caldwell County TX. Aunt Mattie married a Joe ASHER. Mattie died Nov.21,1939 in Karnes Couinty. Both of them are buried in the Griffin Cemetery in Karnes County. 3. Charity Anderson born on April 25,1887 in Caldwell County TX. Aunt Charity married a Thomas HOWE. And is buried in the Karnes City Cemetery. 4. Henry Ithamer Anderson born on Sept.5,1889 in Luling,Texas Caldwell County. Grandpa died on Feb.20,1964 in Stockdale Texas Wilson County. On Jan.20,1922 Grandpa married Callie Elizabeth CHILDRESS, the marriage license were issued out of Karnes County. But Grandpa and Granny were married by a pearcher in Pandora,Texas Wilson County while sitting in the car under a tree. Both Grandpa and Granny are buried at the Steel Branch Cemetery in Stockdale Texas Wilson County. Callie was the daugther of Samuel Alonzo and Annie West Childress. Granny died on July 20,1990 in Stockdale Texas Wilson County. I am also working on the CHILDRESS family history too. 5. William Johnson Anderson born on July 5,1891 in Luling,Texas Caldwell County. He died on Jan.10,1955 in Bexar County. Uncle Bill married Bennie ROBERTS. Both Uncle Bill and Aunt Ben are buried in the Karnes City Cemetery in Karnes County. I would love to find out who Christopher's parents were and if he had any sibilings. I found that Christopher was listed in the Confederate Army out of Caldwell County. He also used the name C.C. I am looking for information on Jessee QUALLS born 1794 in North Carolina. What I do know is he was in the War of 1812. He was married twice. He married Mary LAURANCE and had one child Henry L. Qualls. She died and he married an ECKOLS and they had George Qualls and several other children. They lived in South Carolina, Mississippi, and Texas. Jesse is buried in Gonzales County as well as his son Henry and Edward. George is believed to be buried in Waller County. I am looking for any information on this family. DANCER - Lawman killed in shootout in Gonzales Texas before 1935. His widow, Liddie lived in Lytton Springs with my Grandfather's family (Silas A. McCANDLESS) until she married a man named Hall.
