Dedication Pictures

The walls are W.W.I, W.W.II, Korea and Vietnam.  Another wall lists the Casualties and one POW.  The POW is still living. 
All W.W.I names are deceased.  As for the W.W.II, Korea and Vietnam some are alive and some dead. 
The two dedications were last May 22, 2005 for W.W.I and W.W.II, POW and Casualties. 
Then in November 2005 we dedicated the wall to Korea and Vietnam. 
Both ceremonies were moving. It was a time of joy and sadness for many families of Veterans that attended..
Many came from other states, lots of dignitaries, families of vets and just plain citizens.

This park is dedicated to all Marion Community residents
who have served in the military since the establishment of
the  city in 1877.  The community of Marion is proud of its
citizens who have chosen to serve our country in the
armed forces of the United States of America.  We also
recognize the contributions of those veterans who
made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country.
