From Staples Store:         We have been having some cold weather and plenty of rain and mud.  Roads are nearly impassable.          Our little town is still improving.  Mr. W. L. Sherrill has bought him a lot oand will soon erect a nice residence between the new church and Dr. Williams' residence; also Mr. F. W. Staples is preparing to build on adjoining lot.           Mr. Samples, of Grandcane,  La. is visiting his father-in- law, Mr. J. W. Scott.           Mr. T. T. Lowman is in San Antonio under medical treatment.           Married, last Sunday, Mr. Tom Antley and Miss Mattie Lloyd.  Their many friends wish them much joy and happiness.           Misses Della Lowman and Lona Staples have just returned from a visit to San Antonio.           Mr. J. A. and T. T. Lowman have rented the C. H. Word farm now belonging to Griffin Bros. for a term of five years.           Mr. P. K. Williams had a 9 lb. boy at his house. More Seguin News -           Mr. Levi Anderson was married to Miss Kittie Hutchinson by the Rev. H. S. Thrall, at the Methodist church, this morning. The happy couple left immediately for San Antonio to take in the fair.           Mr. A. E. Wilson and family have moved to the residence of Mrs. Gen. Jefferson, and our newly elected assessor, Mr. John Donegan, will rent the home formerly occupied by Mr. Wilson.
