Brown
I have been researching the Brown’s for about 7 years.
There is sure a lot of them. I have been to the State Capitol
and almost all the counties in Texas.
Here is what I have found out.
I was born in Houston. 1949
My father was Andrew Coy Brown, born 1927, Ballinger, Runnels county.
My Grandfather was Andy J Brown, born 1899, Ada Oklahoma,
My ggf was Joseph Cyrus Brown, born 1866, DeWitt county
My gggf was Sylvanus Brown, born 1833, in Austin County.
My ggggf was Alexander Brown, born about 1799 in Missouri.
Alexander came to Texas about 1826.
He has an original land grant in Grimes county dated 1831.
Sylvanus Brown is buried in Mason County, near the old town of Fly
Gap,
Joseph was raised near double knob.
Joseph married Mary Jane Banner Lamon, about 1890.
They had all their children except Andy in Mason county.

ZESCH
My great grandfather, Robert Zesch, landed in Indianola
in 1854 came to
New Braunfels, then Comfort, then Fredericksburg and then on to Mason.
He met his future wife, Lina Dangers, on the boat with her family.
Her uncle, Gottlieb Buchard Dangers, was the Lutheran minister in Fredericksburg
in the 1840’s. Now today, a Dangers descendant,
Casey Zesch is the minister of the Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg.
