QRYTEXT:
Hello,
I am looking for George WREN and Minnie
B. DAVIS Wren (Minasota) who were
in McCulloch County, Texas sometime in the late
1800's to early 1900.
Their children were Allene, Arlen, Clayton, Dana,
Dara, Elmer, George, Ivy
and Mabel. Minnie was born 6 Sep 1866,
Monroe County, Kentucky to
Jefferson DAVIS and Nancy Ann ARTERBERRY.
I am looking for not only Minnie
(my great aunt) and George, but also their
descendants.
I have extensive
research on Minnie's ancestors and would be most
willing to share this
information. Thank you for any help finding
Minnie and George!

QRYTEXT:
I would like to correspond with anyone
researching
the COWAN,
GOSSETT, and/or SANSOM families
of McCulloch and San Saba counties. My
grandparents, John Wesley and Mary (COWAN WALL)
SANSOM seem to have lived on
farms in one county or the other from about
1900-1939.
I would particularly like any information that
anyone might have concerning the birth/death of my uncle, Leo Byron
SANSOM,
who was born January 7, 1923, and died January 11, 1923. From
what
I had heard while I was growing up, there was no mystery. My
mother's
little brother had died when he was four days old and was buried in the
cemetery at Placid. However, when I started to document the
information
about his birth and death, I found one birth but two deaths recorded
for
infant sons of John and Mary SANSOM in January 1923.
So far, no one has been able to explain why there
are two death certificates and only one birth recorded.
I realize that there are few, if any, people
alive
who actually remember
these events, but maybe some reader has heard
others talk about it.

QRYTEXT:
I am looking for anything that might have had
my Grandfather's (Andrew Lewis Schroder), Parents name on
it.
If his SS application was right, it would be William Schroder, Father,
and Soffie Keppler, Mother. Have come up w/a dead-end on
anything
before his marriage to grandmother, (Edith E. Deason) in Stacy, Texas,
in 1911. His roots must really be buried deep. The little
info
about his life was few and far between. Wish I had known then,
that
I would be researching our families ancestors. I would have
asked more questions......
If anyone has any info on the Schroder or Keppler
side of the family, I would sure appricate it!!
Thanks!

SURNAMES: LEWTER MEADOR WORRELL
NAME: James R. Calvert
EMAIL: jcalvert@jps.net
DATE: Jun 25 1999
QRYTEXT: I am researching the following families
who may have lived in Camp
San Saba or the surrounding area from 1870 to
1885:
LEWTER, WORRELL, MEADOR, BYRD.
Henry Wise Lewter and his wife, Laura Matilda
Meador-Lewter, move to Camp
San Saba from Smith County during this
period.
His father and mother,
Jonathan Lewter and Mary Ann Worrell-Lewter,
probably resided in the
community at the same time. The family was from
the Tyler area before moving
to Camp San Saba.
A Reverend Worrell who was in the community at
this time may have been
either a brother or cousin of Mary Ann Lewter.
I have most of the genealogy of the Lewter and
Meador family. I am trying
to piece together their activities in McCullough
County. Henry Wise Lewter
may have been a teamster during this
period.
I am sure that he was a member
of the Masonic Lodge and may have served as
Master.
