QRYTEXT:  KINMAN, Jack Wade and wife Bessie DYER. I'm looking for information on these names and parents.  I am  trying to trace my heritage and our family tree.Kinman was one of two or three brothers born to a full blood Indian name of MANY BEAVER, wife of Kinman( first name unknown.) Whole family of Kinmans were around the Brady,  Menard,  Voca,  Mason area. Grandfather, Jack, passed in 1977,  I believe,  and was 79 yrs old., buried in Brady cemetary in Kinman plot.Also looking on other side which was DYER.   Richard a very prominent man from what I've been told. He was a salesman of buggies and the first horsless carriages in Brady. I have no dates as the Family Bible was destroyed in a flood years ago. Any help concerning these names will be very appreciated.

QRYTEXT: Am trying to locate Robert Thomas SHORT, b 1821 in MO, died 1887 in possibly McCulloch County, TX.  His wife was Frances L. SHORT, and I know that she was alive in 1890, when a pension for a Confederate census was applied for.  She was born in 1823 in MO. Looking for any information on Sylvester WOOD born 1848 in Marion County,
Ark.  He served in Schnable's Missouri Calvary, CSA in Civil War.  He was a
Mason County Judge for four years.  He died in Placid, Texas while residing
with his daughter, her name was VALLANT, I think.  He died 5-28-1926.  He
was married to Sarah Susan McCULLOCH WOOD.  They had twelve children:
Ambrose, Holland Seymour, Calvin E., Arvilla, Arminta, Maggie, Bessie,Vinnie
M., Lilly and Ola Vester.  I would appreciate any information I can find on
this family.  Calvin E. WOOD was my grandfather.

I saw your page on McCulloch Co., Texas, and thought perhaps you could help me, or at least point me in the right direction.  My Great-Grandfather, Jesse M. Champion, lived in Brady in 1910, and had a store there.  It is my understanding that at some point in time he was robbed and beaten and moved to live with his children in Oklahoma.  Is there any way I could find out about this store....such as what type of business he had, or can you suggest how I could find more information on it.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  With regards,

QRYTEXT: Researching Farris, Gentry, Starkey, Myers & Wicker,Foster, Dragoo surnames.  Especially interested in the Starkey family ancestors & descendants, as there are brick walls.  Elizabeth Starkey b May 17, 1880 married Monroe Howard Farris b Aug 18, 1870, on June 17, 1897 in McCulloch Co.  Monroe was the son of Joseph McWhorter Farris & Melissa Jane Dragoo. Elizabeth(Lizzie)Starkey had 3 sisters: Nancy Belle(married Geo. J. Myers), Matilda(married Eli Foster) & Willie(married Richard "Pete" Wicker).  Andrew J Starkey b ca 1854 & Susan Gentry b 1860 Limestone Co,TX were the girls' parents.  After the deaths of their parents, they were raised by a Gentry family-we think their grandparents, who were Elias Marion Gentry & Malissa Jane Lowery Gentry. We have not been able to locate Andrew Starkey's parents-need more answers.  Thanks for any help or contributions.

My ggrandmother was Mary Alice PENNINGTON b. December 16, 1878, in Round Rock. She died April 4, 1958, in Brady. They were married on December 31, 1896, in Round Rock, TX. They had a farm in the Brady area. They had 8 children: Annie Bell, Willie Mae, Hattie Estelle, Otho, Mabel Kate, Sadie Jesse, John William Austin, and Bessie Beatrice. I'm trying to find information on Henry's family. His parents names and any siblings. I would appreciate any information.
