Christesson-Lee Wedding Vows Are Exchanged Here
VIRGINIA JO CHRISTESSON and JAMES HUBERT LEE were wed March 16 at 7 p.m. in the
home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. JOE D. CHRISTESSON, 1709 Aylford.
JAMES is the son of Mr. and Mrs. EARL LEE of Woodson.
LLOYD CONNEL, minister of the Main Church of Christ, officiated at the altar
banked with fern, palm, and tall baskets of white stock. Tall candlesticks
holding cathedral tapers formed the bridal arch.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white suit with navy
blue accessories. She carried a borrowed white Bible, topped with daisy pink
carnations, and a lace trimmed linen handkerchief belonging to her
great-grandmother, the blue was her accessories, and something new was her
ensemble.
Miss JERRY CHRISTESSON, the bride’s sister and attendant, wore a navy suit with
navy and white accessories and carried a nosegay of pink carnations. The groom’s
attendant was DON BELLAH of Woodson.
The bride’s mother wore a black and pink crepe dress and pink rosebud corsage.

Mrs. DELLA O’BRIEN was organist throughout the ceremony.
Virginia is a graduate of Beckenridge High School and has been attending
Draughn’s Business College in Abilene. James is a graduate of Woodson High
School.
A reception was held immediately after the ceremony. Miss JOYCE LEE, sister of
the groom, presided at the bride’s book. Mss JEANETTE CAVEY of Breckenridge
served the cake. Miss ROSALEE CAVEY of Breckenridge presided at the punch bowl.
Out of town guests were from Breckenridge, Cisco, Rankin, Woodson and Odessa.
