How To Get There:
From Beltway Drive South (FM 707) in Abilene, Texas, take US Highway 84 South 11.3 miles to the intersection with County Road 134. Turn left (East) on CR 134 and go 2.3 miles. Cope Cemetery is on the left (North) side of the road.

This old cemetery in south Taylor County was slowly returning to nature but the folks in the local area got together and removed trash, cut brush, filled holes and reset some of the head stones. Some new stones (6) for old graves were placed and there were two new burials since the last inventory.
The 1977 inventory showed 32 legible grave stones and now there forty that can be read. There had been no real maintenance for several years and this cleanup/fix up is a welcome sight.
