History of Moro School District No. 6.
History of Moro District Number 6 The Moro District, named from the old Mountain some ten miles southeast of the one-time village of the same name, erected its first school building in 1887. It was a one-room frame structure, rudely equipped. Some three years later the community in had grown so much that another room was found necessary and was added by the patrons of the school. In 1906 a new wooden building was furnished by the good citizens of the district and the growth of the district continued until, 1917, a four-room, modern brick building was erected at a cost of $5,200. This building stands on a five-acre plot just south of the site of the old buildings.
Under the direction of the capable teachers, Miss Alma Haber and Mrs. Lucile Greene, the school has enjoyed a most satisfactory year's work. Considerable playground equipment has been added during the year. With the prospect for a dollar tax for the district for the next year, the outlook is promising.
Just Keep on Keepin' On
If the day looks kinder gloomy
And your
chances kinder slim;
If the situation's puzzlin'
An' the prospects awful
grim,
And perplexities keep pressin'
Till all hope is nearly gone,
Just
bristle up and grit your teeth,
And keep o keepin' on.
Shunnin' never
wins a fight,
And frettin' never pays;
There ain't no god in broodin'
on
These pessimistic ways.
Smile just kinder cheerfully,
When hope is
nearly gone
And bristle up and grit your teeth,
And keep on keepin'
on.
There ain't no use in growlin'
And grumbling all the time
When
music's ringing everywhere,
And everything's in rhyme.
Just keep on
smilin' cheerfully,
If hope is nearly gone,
And bristle up and grit your
teeth
AND KEEP ON KEEPIN' ON
