She was born about 1843 in Alabama. Her parents were both born
in Alabama. This family moved to Texas in about 1870, I think.
The 1880 census lists their son Johnathan as being born in Texas,
but the 1870 census lists Johnathan as being born in Alabama.

Lee DAY of Quitman was married twice, once to Lula B. CARTER
in July 1888. I believe they owned land near Golden. They had
at least two offspring (Barney, married Bertie Ethyl DOUGLAS
and Flossy DAY-married Lou ISHAM). O. B. DAY reports two more
brothers from Benjamin, named Ben and "Libe". Reba
reports that Lucy used to be visited by one B. Lively DAY out
of a nearby county, perhaps the same "Libe" that O.
B. remembers, but my grandmother Reba only remembers Barney and
Flossy. Lula apparently died as Benjamin Lee married my great
grandmother Lucy Isham Day Price Terrell in 1900. She had 3 children
by him, one of which is my grandfather William Ray Day, husband
of Reba Terrell Day, still living in Quitman, and one of Benjamins
children from his first marriage is one Barney Day, died in 1933,
father of O. B. Day, still alive in Kaufman born 1915. An aunt
ran into O. B. by acccident in a Kaufman restaurant noticing
striking resemblence to her father, William Ray. Since this genetic
trait was strongly passed on from Benjamin Lee, our family wishes
