his mother's family, the CARTERs. James Freeman married Ellen
Maria MOORE, 20 Nov. 1890, in Wood County, Tx., by a cousin,
J.E. CARTER. I am looking for any information on this family.
James was born 18 March 1866 in Pike Co., Al. and died 31 July
1920 in Marion County, Tx. They had at least these children;

Does anyone have John J. and Anne
A. BAILEY in their files? They were married in Wood Co. in 1865
and raised a family there. The children were William J. BAILEY,
Julia A. BAILEY, Amanda P. BAILEY and her twin ________ D. BAILEY
and Hubbard (?) BAILEY. They were on the 1880 census but by 1900
I could only find WILLIAM J. with his wife and child. I do know
that John J. died 28-Oct-1893 but I do not know where he is buried

Arkansas to Wood Co. TX after 1881. Looking for information on
Riley Allen VAUGHAN born 05-Dec-1862 in Conway Co. Arkansas.
Son of William "Riley" Vaughan and Fannie Womble. Riley
Allen married S. E. White 25-Dec-1881 in Arkanasas. Riley's mother,
Fanny died in 1863, his father then remarried her sister, Catherine,
known as Katy. Riley's father died in 1876 of Tuberculoisis.
His wife, Katy applied for a Widows pension, and in that application
dated July 1888, she states that Riley Allen is living in Winsburro
TX (Wood County). I'm not sure of Riley's wife's name, possibly
Sarah E. ? Children are unknown and death dates also unknown.
All I know is he did not move back to Arkansas.

H. FLOYD, Co F. 22 Tenn Cav C.S.A., Born 1838, died 1913, married
to Elizabeth, Born 1841, died 1921. He is buried in Sharp cemetery
between Yantis, TX and Quitman, TX. I have a picture of the tombstone.
Also looking for information on James H. Floyd, born October
18, 1870, died February 19, 1944, married to Ella A., Born September
1, 1876, died October 24, 1952, buried in the same cemetery,
along with his sister Maude and brother Charlie James (Bo) Floyd
and his wife Lera. James H. Floyd lived on a farm that is currently
located on the southern most border of Yantis, Texas. His son
Odie Artemus Floyd (O.A.) was the town chiropractor/barber for
many years. My father, James Paul Floyd was also born in Yantis,
Tx in 1919.

was John M. LAWRENCE who along with his brother in law, W.E.WEBB
built one of the first sawmills in 1856. John M. had two wives
