The Mineola, Wood County, newspaper
Obit after the September 20, 1953 Matagorda County death of Reo
Clayton KLINGAMAN mentions only Reo's step- father, the late
Al PAISLEY. Reo was the son of John Orien "Jerry O."
Klingaman and Agnes TORK who married and may have divorced in
Iowa. It appears Agnes then married Al Paisley while still in
Iowa. The Klingamans and Paisleys traveled back and forth between
Iowa and Texas in the early 1920's. Reo Klingaman married Ethel
Matilda PATRICK June 13, 1926 in Golden, Wood Co., Texas; their
only child, Billie Ruth Klingaman, was born November 16, 1927
in Golden. In later years, Billie Ruth stated that after they
married, Agnes and Al Paisley were known as "Big Al &
Little Al." and Billie's children have no memory of ever
having known them; only that their grandmother was always referred
to as "Grandma Al." Of particular interest is the date/location
of the death/buriel of Agnes Tork Klingaman Paisley and Al Paisley,
who both probably passed away between 1940-1953 in the vicinity
of Mineola. They are not listed in the Sand Springs Cemetery
Survey.

My father, R(only) T(only) BELLO(A)MY,
was born in Wood County 10/1/1896 and died in Harris County 12/17/1979.
His family lived South of Winnsboro in Stout. He married Murtis
(sp) ?. They had five children Talmadge, Herrol, Elwanna, Doris
and a son who died, according to my knowledge, at age 9. Herrol
and Elwanna are still living. I was told that my father added
to his initials the name, Ralph Truman. He and his first wife
moved to Dallas but divorced in the early 1930's. I have been
told that he legally changed the spelling of his last name from
BELLOMY to BELLAMY after the divorce. He had a number of siblings,
but I only know the first names of these; Maurie, Jack, Homer
and Omer (twins - boy and girl), Sarah, Mary, and Margaret. He
told me I was named for my Aunt Sarah, but he loved all his sisters.
He and my mother, Viola Osalee FITZGIBBONS (born Grimes County
10/10/1909), married in the early 1930's and had four children,
all of whom are living: Patsy Ann, Madison County 9/3/1932; Barbara
Jean, Cherokee County 1/19/1937; Sara Beth, Harris County 6/14/1939;
and Ralph, Jr., Harris County 8/20/1940. There are many gaps
in my knowledge of his family and the reliability of the info
obtained from my family members, so I would like to know about
his parents, their parents and his siblings.
